I really liked this hostel, it was comfortable, well set up and in a good location. There are lockers in the room and somewhere to store your luggage during the day (although you have to pay). The wifi isn't free for non-members but I was only there one night so it was no big deal. The kitchen area is huge and seems well set up. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were a bit small but because everything else was great, this didn't really matter.
Couldn't rave about this place enough. The staff are absolutely wonderful, very friendly, vibrant and helpful people and always good for a laugh. The hostel is literally around the corner from Oxford Street and several tube stations, so the location is outstanding. The rooms are clean as are the toilets/bathrooms. If I am ever in London, will be coming here without any doubts.
Thank all the staffs for the excellent stay that I had at the YHA Oxford.
Staff went out of their way to help. It was excellent. The only problem was the noise; the street sounds were so loud it felt like there was no glass in the windows. It woul have been great to have some long term luggage storage too. When I read luggage storage available on the hostelworld site I thought it meant long term. To be clear they should just say 24 hour luggage storage which is more accurate.
Wifi is not free. I didn´t understand this...We are living in 2013 not 1998. There isn´t AC, in a full room is very necesary in summer.

Thank you for another lovely lovely and hassle-free stay, always a pleasure and I hope to be back again soon!
I like this hostel. I stay there twice a year. The rooms are ok, the beds, not so much but for the value of money, it's ok. But I had a few problems this last stay. The first room that I've been was too small and very smelly! The mattress, the pillow, everything was smelly. The second room that I've been, was a little bigger but was also smelly and veeeeeeery HOT! To charge for wi fi (that only works in common room) is ridiculous!
We all really enjoyed our stay here. Excellent quality and condition for central London. Showers and toilets were perfect. Little lamp above each bed with a socket - so handy. Would definitely visit again.
Oxford Street is probably the best base for a visit in London and if you can get a cheap and freindly lokation there that is just awsome. Only downsides I noticed: Upper floor gets very hot in the summer and there is no elevator to the upper floors. And of course these unpractical English basins with separate taps for hot and cold (not in our room though (Toilets only).
Was only here for one night but would defs stay here again! Staff were very friendly and cook awesome breakfast! Very close to oxford circus station so can get to all the main sites very easily! Defs recommend this hostel!
Nice little hostel. well located, helpful staff
The hostel is so close to everything and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
This hostel is really in the heart of city. It is close to all touristical places such as piccadilly circus, oxford circus, british museum etc. Staff is so helpful. Breakfast is not included .. It costs 3.95 pound. It could be lovely if the breakfast was included.
Great location, facilities and staff! My room was clean and comfortable with lots of showers and toilets, big kitchen with many appliances for cooking, and tom and Leigh on reception are hilarious! With Oxford circus on your doorstep you couldn't ask for anymore :)
I thank you for soving my booking problems, however I'd prefer not to have had then. But that was ok to find out a solution.
Living room and kitchen are good and spacious. Hostel staff are helpful and friendly. Location is perfect.
The location is fabulous, just up the street from Liberty, it was clean and a little less functional in look than some Youth Hostels but space is at a premium and a little cramped but great Hostel.
Can improve your hostel drastically by organizing group events every night of the week and creating a more eventful stay for all visitors
