Fantastic hostel in an incredible location, just off Oxford Street, close to tube station and 2 minute walk to Leicester square. Nice and quiet considering it's right in the hustle and bustle. Would never stay anywhere else in London! Highly recommend.

Great location and staff! Rooms were a bit small but nothing to complain about. They have a lot of special offers and we had found it great that it was possible to buy daytravler cards at the hostel. Best hostel we have been to so far and we would definitly recommend it!

The staff were very helpful, the hostel colourful and comfortable. They do need some freezers for patron use however, so you could not buy any frozen goods. Great location.

The hostel was very clean, slightly institutional-feeling (still I'd rather that than dirty and unsafe), but friendly. Very central location! Wasn't a super social-seeming hostel, but that could just be the group that was there when I was. Overall very nice, and I'd definitely go back.

All good, I was only negatively surprised when I could not leave my baggiage anywhere for free after checking out (at 10) untill 11h. I had to pay 3 $ for that. That did not seem right to me, I was a guest there 4 days and I had to pay to store my luggiage for the time from checking out untill my taxi to the airport arrived.

We got a really warm welcoming at 1.30am after a long trip and that was awesome! The rooms were clean and the the location so close to the Piccadilly is really comfortable for a citytrip. Also the locker room makes enjoying the city until the last moment very easy.

Always people available at the desk, and very helpful with anything we asked for. Always clean showers and toilets, very nice rooms (with a sink and mirror). Close to the underground and Oxford street! Very satisfied with the stay at YHA, and will love to stay there again during my next visit in London.

the staff didn't work carefully. We wanna book the tickets for phantom of the opera, but the staff gave us the wicked! This mistake changed our plan, we have to arrange another time to book the ticket and watch it! That is a shame! When we asked for an explanation, the staff wasn't patient and we still haven't got any response from the manager! About the luggage store, it said the deposit on the door of cabinets but actually you need to spend 3 pounds! We thought it should say everything clearly

Owner Comment (Show)
Hello Lu Ren, Thank you for your feedback. I believe the tickets requested were for our West End Wednesday offer which only advertises heavy discounts for Wicked and Lion King; all other shows need to be booked via our agent, the reception staff will help you to get the best prices. You are always welcome to speak to a manager at any point during your stay. If we are not immediately available, just ask the staff on reception and they will arrange this for you. Thank you for your comments on the lockers, we will look at making this clearer. Becky Hudgell Hostel Manager

Clean, fun, quiet, central, great kitchen. Despite being right on Oxford Circus, on the same block as a pub, there was no problem sleeping in this hostel as it was extremely quiet and comfortable. The facilities were clean and well maintained, breakfast was great in the mornings, the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Brilliant location, very clean and the staff were very friendly! The only noise we had to deal with came from the traffic outside, but once I was asleep I couldn't hear anything. Just wish me and my boyfriend hadn't booked a twin room, cuddling on a bunk bed is difficult haha. But definitely have nothing to complain about, was a lovely short but sweet visit.

Great stay, great hostel !!!!! We slept very well, the showers were very clean ! T he breakfast it's not included, can be good and not but it was fine, we did english breakfast on our own :) the wireless not free that it's a shame, but in London everywhere you can connect your phone or your computer in starkbuck or pub, at 10m from the hostel you have a pub with the wireless free ! kitchen is very nice and clean as well, we met a lot of people, really nice people :) Thank you very much to the staff, welco

Only ended up staying 1 night of the 4 I had booked at this place. Arrived around 9pm and found that the staff were quite disinterested in my questions or assisting me. why it's called yha oxford st I'll never know as its not even on the street. In the end if you are going to be one of those people who club all night and see little of the city then this is probably the place for you. Do not expect to get much sleep.
