Charging for internet access is quite odd these days. Self-catering would make a big difference, but I understand there are space constraints. In that case I'd suggest making the bar/cafe a bit cheaper as a means of compensation.

Mediocre staff/service/facilities. You'd think a big chain like YHA would have better things to do than to charge $$$ for a bit of Wifi time. Very convenient location, nonetheless.

Only complaints is that there is quite a hefty charge to use wi-fi and that most of the patrons were quite a bit older considering it is a youth hostel so there are not a lot of backpackers to connect with.

Second stay here, simply because I liked the place so much last time. This visit I stayed in a private double room with en suite bathroom. Generally the room was decent, with clean sheets and nicely proportioned. Only two minor gripes: the air conditioning unit was not working, but the room was warm enough anyway; and a shower was a bit of an adventure as the showerhead was quite high with no feature for adjusting the angle or spray pattern. Nevertheless I would stay here again.

It really was a wonderful hostel. I found the room abit warm the first night, but then the staff showed me how to put the air con on. To be fair, i like to sleep in a fairly cold room/bed. Breakfast is also a pretty good deal, and was some of the best I've had in a hostel.

The best aspect of YHA London St Pancras si its location. Private rooms with private bathrooms were good, perhaps a bit too expensive in relation quality-price, but clean and safe.

The hostel to me was more like a budget hotel rather than a hostel. There were a lot of people 60+ staying there, which supprised me seeing as it is marketed as a Youth Hostel. This, combine with a formal type common area with cafe reinforced the feel of a hotel, not a hostel. Otherwise, facilites were good, clean and the location is very convenient to the West End and Soho. Staff we helpful but not overly friendly. Room was comfortable and priced appropritely.

The hostel is in a good location - right across from the International train station. I wouldn't stay here for more than 1 night though. Londoners have told me the area is a bit dodgy. Also, the toilet in our room had no seat on it. It was really nice inside though. Nice bar/cafe area downstairs and the staff are lovely.

My experience was not the best, the first day I arrived and left my stuff in the room , they chose the bed I supposed to occupy, back at night: my bed was now occupied by somebody else and the one left was dirty, then they changed me the room which was kind of better, but ohh surprise: bedbugs!!!!! and of course I still have reaction, and again the bed clothes were not clean. No plugs to charge anything, the bed lamps don't work. They charge you for lock your bags if you need after check out.

Nice hostel, goof facilities. It just slightly bothers me that you have to pay for Wifi and Suitcase storage. On the other hand, the location is amazing and I love the fact that you can order food downstairs. Overall I had a very good experience and would definitely come back to this hostel.

This hostel is extremely well located, near the Eurostar station and some of the pubs where I went for gigs. Shame there is no breakfast. But I enjoyed my stay and I have stayed a few times now. I even got a room for 6 on my own on a Saturday night! I will definitely come back!! :)

I stay here regularly because of the friendliness of the staff, location and facilities. As a member of the YHA this is one of the best UK hostels I have stayed in.

I booked a room for me and my husband with a bathroom, and they didn't have it available and blamed the website hostelworld for it. We stayed in a room with a bunk bed (romantic, hun) and they said we could look for another hostel to stay. It was Jan,1st, how easy would it be? They gave us free breakfast to try to compensate for the room/bathroom, but of course we were not happy about it. The bathrooms were very small and not clean, the bedroom was also small and not what we expected.

Conveniently located next to the St. Pancras/Kings Cross Train/Underground station with access to most buses. Breakfast was great, The staff was friendly and very helpful. Beds were comfy and each had its own personal light. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and will definitely stay there again.

Location is excellent, rooms are clean and comfortable and have lockers. Unfortunately the extras quickly add up; wi-fi is 5£ / day which is not reasonable for budget travellers, luggage storage is not free outside of the dorms, and breakfast not included.

A lovely hostel in a fantastic location. The room was half empty and very clean, not crampt at all unlike my experiences of other London hostels.
