We stayed 1 night in an 8 bed mixed dorm, however there was only 1 other female in the room and 5 empty beds. The hostel is a perfect location for the Mountnains and the staff were extremly helpful and accomodating even though we arrived after 8pm. The facilities are good, clean and tidy. Really good value for money and would both stay again and recommend to others.

We loved YHA Mt Cook, we stayed at 5 different YHAs on our trip to New Zealand and this was one of our favourites. The place has great character and the location is amazing. The room was very comfortable and the whole place was very clean and tidy. The staff was also super friendly and very helpful. Thanks!

Not that there's much choice when visiting Mt Cook/Aoraki, but this is simply a great hostel. Location is obviously awesome. Hostel's clean. Kitchen's is very spacious. Beds are nice. Staff is very helpfull. And the atmosphere is one of likeminded outdoorlovers.

Nice and cozy, the sauna was superb, just what you need after tramping around the mountains the entire day!
