Perfectly located right next to all the trails and hikes in Mt. Cook, helpful and friendly staff.
Great hostel, amazing scenery. Very quaint , super helpful and friendly staff. Big kitchen, quite clean. Bathrooms were alright.. mainly other guests that leave their mess, hairdryers are available at reception. Close to trails at Mt. Cook which was amazing. Wifi was pretty good and free!
Amazing location, right in the middle of incredible scenery. Staff was friendly and helpful, willing to spend those extra few minutes to go over great things. Large kitchen with lots of resources and FREE spices! Hostel was clean for the most part, basic untidiness was from other people staying in the hostel.
Great staff, cosy place, has a fireplace in the general area. Great kitchen, lots of spaces to cook, good equipment. Nice vibe, great location (all hikes are close and the landscape is beautiful). First night we had an eight bedroom dorm for ourselves, second night we were with five people. No lockers in the room (haven't seen them around, didn't look for them either though). Place gets cleaned very well! Paid WiFi for non-YHA members.
Great location, clean and cozy hostel with friendly staff!

Everything is very good, apart from the water pressure in the ladies shower room was extremely low.
This is one of the YHA hostels, which means it's generally great, but if you're not a YHA member, you don't get free wifi. I can't say much about the location since I was driving, but was easy to find when I was driving. Their kitchen is quite spacious, which is really important since there are no food options outside the hostel in the evening (meaning you have to prepare your own food).
Nice and clean hostel with great facilities, free wifi for YHA members. Lacking plugs for everyone. Not a great atmosphere, especially with big families but that is not the hostel fault. A bit on the expensive side, but there is not many choices in town. Remember to buy food before coming to Mt Cook, prices are outrageous around here. Beautiful location to relax with great views on the glacier.
Very cosy and friendly staff. We did enjoy our stay here in YHA Mt Cook. Definitely value for money.
15min walk to start of the walking tracks. Not so many long term stayers, so nice atmosphere. Male bathroom smelled.
Good place to meet people and staff are nice. No lockers in the rooms but some outside. They need to change the washing sponges in the kitchen more often but other than that the place is clean.
