Lock on window (with balcony outside) was broken. Light by bunk not working. This hostel was from the 70s when you expected hard bunks, no security and tiny room. This is not the usual standard of modern hostels. On arrival were told our double room had two bunks, didn't sleep for fear of falling off top bunk, NO SAFETY RAIL! As we were two late 60yr old women (one a Life Member), would have been a nice gesture on the staff to put us in the empty 3bunkroom opposite., which had two bottom bunks.
A bit dated and didn't seem to be many people around, but overall it had friendly & helpful staff, comfy beds, clean bathrooms and felt secure. All you need at the end of the day.
It is a neat, tidy and clean hostel. The security is tight and the staff there are responsible and helpful.

One of the most efficiently run hostels I have stayed in, and organised by a devoted and hard-working team with an almost family-feel. The kitchen is VERY clean and there are always people about tidying and cleaning. The outdoor area is great and good for getting people together. Place has real character and little touches like Marcus offering to get us a wine glass one evening. I would stay here again and recommend others do the same.
