The room was OK considering the price it was even better, but in the low season we didn't feel it necessary to put additional people in the small room, the hostel wasn't full... tho there were a couple of old creepy looking guys in the lobby when we arrived. The window in the room has no screen and was either open or shuttered closing off the view. Long distance from airport & difficult to find, but we did find nice local places to eat & drink. Shower didn't drain, floor soaked & no towels to cl
I'm a regular at this hostel, when in Naples. Basic but clean hostel facilities. Friendly staff. There is a remarkably good, though basic dinner/lunch option, if you'd like. And WiFi has been improved, it seems. Rooms can be a bit noisy, due to thin walls. And generally Naples is not a quiet city. Location is a bit odd, but close to Mergellina metrostation.
The place is not very near from the downtown, and that is a good and bad thing. Is good because downtown is not so nice to stay, and is bad because you will need to take a train to go anywhere. But is a good place to stay, nice and clean.
very nice place to stay good area. i have been before also and i would return again. thanks alot.
SO BAD STAFF ARE RUDE ATMOSPHERE LOWER HARD TO FIND BUT SO NEAR TO STATION
I was only there for one short night, but I found that the hostel was average. You get what you pay for, so I can't really complain.
good staying for student. Little bit far from station... One stuff can speak English well and they are they are very friendly. They will provide city map with some information.
Place what very hot because of no AC. In a weird location but very close to the train station.
Good location near the port and restaurants. Quite close to metro stop, but set off a deserted, somewhat sketchy, alleyway. Not enough bathrooms for the number of people staying there. Staff was helpful and monitored keys closely. Pretty clean. Not a bad value for money.
A very impolite crew. One of them blame me because I did not speak italian...because the hotel is in italy, I should not use english...
Staff were friendly, breakfast was nice (and free!) and someone cleaned our bathroom bin everyday which was a pleasant surprise. The location is right by the train station and took about a five minute walk to get there. I don't know how we'd have found it without the help of two other hostellers because the tunnel and backstreet does not look promising BUT neither are a reflection of the hostel itself. I would recommend!

The price might be tempting, but I don't believe it is worth it. The location is really a BIG downside, it is away from everything you will want to see and even walking from the station is tiresome (steep hill). Some of the staff did not speak English at all and weren't really friendly either. The reception looks nice, but the rooms are really bad, it felt like a prison. I didn't feel like in a hostel, but like in a cheap pension. It has potential though, with a few changes it could become good.
Pros: It's very good for the price. Laundry services for €5. Vending machines. Nice enough bathrooms. You can meet people. Staff are really helpful. Cheap. Really close to train. Cons: area doesn't feel great at night. Have to walk through some dodgy streets. Like other people have said there are a lot of stairs for the building (and no lifts until you get inside). I wouldn't walk there at night if you're female and alone. A bit out of town but easy enough to get back. Only one outlet per room
Guy at front desk wasnt personable. Rooms were ok..bathroom ok. Nothing fantastic for a YHA.
