The room was okay and so were the showers. But the hostel is 30 minutes away from the city center up on a hill, so you better don\'t try to walk there. They don\'t have a kitchen to cook and the breakfast for 2 € comes in a small paper box and is definitely not worth the trash it leaves.

Although the staff are nice and the hostel is clean there are no cooking facilities at all. There is fridge to store your own food so make sure you eat before heading up the giant hill to the hostel. There are vending machines and a microwave though.

Difficult to reach for an outsider, but once you figure it out, it\'s easy. And the hostel has a great view of Porto Antico, it\'s definitely worth it.

It has a wonderful view of Genoa. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. As far as getting to the hostel, it was a bit tough for me, but I figured it out: From Piazza Principe, if you head out the main entrance, you'll see the taxis and bus pickups, buy a 60 minute bus ticket from one of the ticket machines on the main bus stop, and find the lift across the street recessed in the buildings. punch your card, ride it to the top, and get on the 40 at the stop across the street.

The hostel was perched at the very top of the biggest hill in Genoa. We took the bus up to the top (might have actually died if we had tried climbing to the top). We walked down the next morning and my legs were sore for three days afterwards. The steps are less steps and more slanted juts of rocks. It was raining and quite treacherous. However, it was a fun adventure. The bus is only 1.50 euro so It is not horrible to have to hitch a ride back. Rooms were spacious and quiet. No food though.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they told you where to go, what to do and were generally kind and welcoming. The main problem that I had with the hostel was the location - it's at the top of a crazy hill that takes about 10 minutes by bus to descend so it is not reachable by foot from any part of downtown Genoa. Clearly, there's not much they can do about the location but as a new and lone traveler it was a bit intimidating to get to and from to town.

I have stayed in a lot of hostels and this one is absolutly terrible. It is in need of a big renovation. I couldnt figure out if it was susposed to be a hostel or a mental institution. Staff acted as if i was bothering them when asking for directions. Find another place.

this hostel is almost impossible to find as it is basically on top of a hill and the bus stop is not marked. I was only able to make it because I was on the bus with other people who were staying there. I only hope the bus system or the hostel can rectify this situation soon
