The place looked generally tired and worn but was clean. The reception staff were excellent.

Self catering kitchen super dirty - guests are asked to clean up after, but if they don't do it others are not guilty about it! Flyers about respecting others' food must be attached into the kitchen walls - I have my food stolen!!!! very annoying!!

For non YHA-members, there is an additional 3 pounds per person per night. Needs to pay for Wi-fi. However, during our first day there, the wi-fi was down. It was a little disappointing for us, as we came from YHA Liverpool earlier (which didnt have free wi-fi either) and was quite eager to pay for the wi-fi already. The kitchen was rather well-equipped. However, people do not wash up after they used the various stuff, hence it seems rather dirty. Water flow was small for the shower.

The Hostel was deceptive regarding their prices; Hostelworld claimed their prices were £15 online, but when we arrived, they made us pay £18 as non-members. Also, they implied that the breakfast was complimentary, when it was in fact £4.95. While two members of the staff was very helpful, the majority were very rude and could not speak English very well. The electronic locks often malfunctioned, and when I told the staff, they became upset with me as if it were my fault. Despite this, not bad.

Would be good if room was cleaned (vacuumed) rather than only the bathroom.
