If you're looking for the nightlife... what the hell are you doing in the Lake District?? The hostel is in a superbe location for walks , close to Ullswater lake, and offers (in our opinion) a better view on the wild side of the region, different from Windermere or the more crowded towns. Large and confortable dorms, all-you-can-eat breakfast for about £5, nice and quiet atmosphere, very large common room with sofas and books. Definitely positive!

Nice friendly staff, and a lovely communal area upstairs. Nice warm showers to make you feel better after a day working in gale force winds and rain!
