The building and the garden are very pretty. The rooms are big with lockers but there are only two showers per floor, which is not enough. Nice and modern showers. Very helpful staff. Location is nice, not very close to the town center though (35 minutes walk), so you cannot bring a big suitcase if you come from the train station. Kitchen smells a bit but is very well equiped.

Large, well-equipped kitchen, friendly staff (with good suggestions for walking trails), lovely location (bit of a walk from the train station if you don't have a car).

Nice hostel, quite far away from the city centre, but well walking distance. Beautiful place to stay and ideal base for travelling and exploring Land's End and West Cornwall. Staff was really friendly and helpful, facilities and rooms were great. I really enjoyed to stay there!

Souless place really. Staff put the hard sell on you when you arrive. To borrow a towel cost £2 and other charges for anything extra you wanted. At 10am on new years day when everyone was waking up all of the toilets and showers had signs on them saying closed for cleaning til 12pm. Why shut the toilets and showers at peak time for 2 hours?? Also the electronic cards to access the rooms were always failing, meaning many trips to reception to get back in the room.

The hostel is a beautiful property, but we got there in the evening with some help from the bus driver. It was hard to see where to go in the dark. We obviously made it, but should have had a flashlight with us. We had a great breakfast and enjoyed the evening in the lounge area. We also made use of the washing machine and dryer available.
