One of the few YHA properties to have proper Bicycle stores which might seem a bit fussy but when your bike is your pride and joy and insure it separatly it is an important area. Great building and facilities with nicest person at the reception, though the hostel was understaffed at the time of my visit. There were mostly families staying in the hostel, though I can't see why this wouldn't work for backpackers also.Great building and facilities with nicest person at the reception, though the hostel was understaffed at the time of my visit. Hostel has been beautifully refurbished, the only negatives are the lack of fridge space (only 2 very small under bench fridges) and very few ordinary pots and pans. The facilities, including the roon, tolient, shower, self-catering kitchen, were absolutely good since it was just re-decorated. The staff were helpful also. But it's a little bit far away from the town center (good for exercises), and less atmosphere to meet different people. Extremely clean, including the bathrooms. However, far away from the train station (about 40 mins walk) through unlit woods and have to cross the A30 where feared for my life each time. Also staff are extremely unfriendly and unhelpful.Extremely clean, including the bathrooms.
