We had a very nice stay at YHA Queenstown Lakefront. The location is very beautiful and it's a 10min walk from shops and restaurants in the city centre. The staff was very friendly and we really enjoyed the whole atmosphere of the place. The bathrooms and kitchen were very spacious and clean. We would stay here again!

This is a very nice hostel in a beautiful location. Staff were friendly and willing to give extra in terms of information and assistance without appearing put on or officious. It fell down on a little in the kitchen where there were not enough pans, especially frying pans and preparation knives for the number of people preparing food as the hostel is large and the kitchen size reflects this but utensils and pans were often old and poor state. Provision of tea towels and cleanliness was good.

I always stay at YHA Queenstown Lakefront when in Queenstown. The facilities are excellent, particularly the kitchen; the staff are helpful and, as the YHA is not in the centre of Queenstown, it is not too noisy at night.

Excellent value and friendly atmosphere. Our twin room was smal but adequate, and very good value.

Dorms could feel a little crammed, but all in all a very good place to stay!
