The big windows in the kitchen are gorgeous, the beds are comfy and the view is spectacular. I liked that it was a ~10 min walk from downtown, as it allowed a more quiet stay, while everything was still close to everything. It was a bit of mess in the kitchen and generally around the hostel. Would still happily go back.

Nice hostel to stay at for a quite few days but the majority of the people seemed to be 60+ not so good if you are wanting to meet people

Nice spacious hostel positioned about 5 or 6 minutes walk from town. Rooms are nothing special but that is to be expected as prices are very cheap. Would definitely stay there again

A nice mass-stay hostel. In spite of the number of beds it still had a cosy feel to it; maybe all the wood panelling.

Great location, nice to be away from madness of QT yet only 5 min walk away. Staff however were only ok, far too business like and not enough personality in my opinion, especially the small blonde kiwi girl, they all looked glum and did not want to be there.

this is a nice chilled out hostel with five star views over the lake and mountains. It is a 10 min walk from Queenstown Centre but far enough removed to chill. My friend stayed at Base and I visited him there, it was manic.
