The place was very far away from the town center of Stratford-Upon-Avon, apart from that the hostel has the basics but not in the best conditions, specially the toilets, there was only three toilets and three showers per floor for approximately 20 rooms, including my room (6 people) just imagine how much people use the bathroom per day and even when I told this to the receptionist so they can send someone to clean, they didnt do it in the two days I stayed there.

Although updated the room did not smell clean; people were noisy late in the evening so it made it difficult to sleep

The room was clean and comfortable, no problems there. The building was in a great location, and I wish we had more time to do day biking or hiking trips. Having a bar in the hostel was excellent, though the local Ferry Inn was a great recommendation from the staff. Really the one down side was the noise. Any time a person walked by the room (or on the floor above) it was very loud, making it difficult to sleep. If not people walking, there was construction outside our window. Overall, good stay

The hostel is great, but its also more than 2 miles from the center of Stratford.

No wifi in the room, weak wifi in the common room. Really far from train station, it is a good place for family to stay to have holiday, but if you don't have car, it is not a good choice.

Poor or no mobile phone reception

As with most YHA's, this one was very nice. However it is 2 miles outside the town, so you need to take the bus or a taxi which is about £7. The busses also don't run on time. Location is the only bad thing about this hostel!
