Very good hostel, although quite large so lacks the charm of smaller places. Facilies were always very clean and the rooms were comfortable. This is a long-time palce. They're pros here. There's character, but it cnnot help but be a large-scale "corporate" hostel.
"Worldwide" is funkier and much smaller, but a few minutes walk from things. "Base" is large, too, but has a little more community atmosphere, with same locale. This is a long-time palce. They're pros here. There's character, but it cnnot help but be a large-scale "corporate" hostel.

When travelling on my own I like the hostel environment. I feel safer and more included despite being in the oldest age bracket! I have to come to Wellington for weekend workshops occasionally and this is my favourite place to stay especially if on my own.When travelling on my own I like the hostel environment. All was good, except when I went for a shower in the evening. There was no hot water.
