Always a great place to stay and my number 1 in Wellington. Friendly, clean and good facilities and good location in downtown area with everything in walkable distance.

Maybe it's not the peak time, so it's quite empty which was good.

Great location, close to supermarket, pack your runners and join the locals running!

Brilliant large kitchen with a nice seating area. Great showers and clean bathrooms. Rooms are fine but need more plugs.

VERY helpful staff. Thank you for your patience! More of a hotel than a hostel. Quite corporate with the lifts, 6 storeys and multiple rooms. This looses it's feel for atmosphere and socialising a bit. you have to make and unmake your bed?! 3rd floor bathrooms bad drainage!! Horiible eggy smell. Good activities on e.g film night ans sign posting to events in and around wellington. Great location..

Great location - we walked to Cuba St and there were lots of cafes and restaurants nearby inCourtenay St. Room was really good - best we have stayed in at a YHA - lots of room to move, clean, lovely ensuite and even a TV and kettle/ tea and coffee.

Only stayed one night. The lounge areas were a great place to chill with friends. It was nice to have Bathrooms separated between men and women(instead of sharing three toilets and two showers per wing). WiFi was good by the laundry room.

Great no-nonsense hostel in a great location.

Very poor customer service, made several mistakes with our booking. Failed to find our reservation for a long time despite us having come in to the hostel to pay for our reservation, generally unfriendly customer service, took very long to actually have our rooms ready, gave us the wrong room, did not even give us a towel, bathroom facilities in the en suite quite poor - certainly not worth $36 a night considering the hostels we have stayed throughout NZ and the entire world

Really good hostel in the city. However, I've never been to a hostel where you have to put on your own pillowcase, top sheet, AND bottom sheet. Also, no free tea/coffee/sugar. Decent beds, clean facilities, good shower pressure, great TV room and reading room, 2 nice kitchens, and pretty quiet and comfortable. Not a super social atmosphere, but everyone is relatively friendly.

I stayed in a few hostels in Wellington and this was my favourite. Awesome kitchen facilities, tv lounge to chill in and good quality wifi. Very close to the supermarket and easy to walk to most places from. I was able to get a cheaper hostel so chose to only stay a few nights, but would be my preference if it was a little cheaper. Also preferred the atmosphere to other hostels because people were friendly but it isn't a part hostel and isn't noisy at night.

Directly in front of a supermarket and very close to Te Papa, the location is excellent. The rooms and the hostel itself is super clean, it often feels more than a hotel. Wonderful and big enough common rooms and kitchens well equipped. Enjoyed my stay very much!

The location is excellent as it is in easy walking distance from the bus stop if you get the airport express bus number 91 into town from the airport, cost is $9.00. There is a large supermarket across the road if you want to cook and save money, Wellington is a great place to eat out and there is a wide range to choose from within walking distance.

Stayed here for 1 night - was really happy with it. Clean and good facilities. Some long term people in room :-/ But otherwise really good location! Plenty of space in dining areas etc. Would recommend!

I loved YHA, so if i can do a suggestion it would be nice if people can extend their stay up to three weeks maybe.
