Staff was not very helpful, and kind of rude. Absolutely no atmosphere. Not a place for solo backpackers wanting to meet people. That being said it was very clean.

I don't remember having been in a hostel as clean and tidy as this one. No funny smells, no stuff everywhere, clean sheets. Perfect. Location is amazing too, couldn't be happier.

The facilities in this hostel are incredible - separate reading room & games room (with pool table and music system) & TV / video room, in addition to a large kitchen / lounge area. The location couldn't be better - just around the corner from the bus stop on Courtenay Place where buses can take you just about anywhere!!! The airport bus goes from here, as does the number 2 bus that takes you to the Weta Cave. Mt. Vic Chippery is a few minutes away - the best fush & chups in NZ ;)

Massive complex. Parking is a nightmare for travellers that drive. Staff give you directions to where to park, but are miles away. Not there fault i guess but be warned. Close to the nightclub scene. Super close to Te Papa museum which is a must do. Markets on the weekend down in that area are good for cheap fruit. Good facilities.

Excellent location, and helpful staff. Would be great if a list of nearby restaurants and 'events for the day' was shown separately

All the staff in Wellington are lovely, and very helpful. The kitchens are really, really well equipped. You could bake a birthday cake there if you wanted to.

I loved being in a room with a view of the harbour! Well organised and clean, quiet. Wifi in the fourth floor bedrooms was pretty bad though - very slow and sometimes just didn't work at all.

Always a great place to stay and my number 1 in Wellington. Friendly, clean and good facilities and good location in downtown area with everything in walkable distance.

Maybe it's not the peak time, so it's quite empty which was good.
