A nice hostel on the hill overlooking Whangarei with car parking and a short stroll into town. Good large kitchen, clean bathrooms, spacious dorms - mattresses a bit soft though. Communal area comfy with separate TV lounge is a good idea. Staff friendly and helpful.

I was surprised when I saw such a cute place is there. The attendants are very kind and you have all you need easily... The beds are confortable, the shower is great (even you need to chare it...) is always clean... I have only good things to say about the YHA Whangarei. I recommend it without fear.
