A beautiful location in Whitby (which is definitely worth the uphill hike from the station). Very quiet when I stayed but staff were friendly and welcoming, nice common areas to sit and relax.
Excellent location just next to the abbey and very close to town - you only have to walk down 199 steps to reach it. It was pretty quiet when we were there and the abbey's only open on the weekends during the winter season but we'd be very happy to stay there again, a lovely place!
brilliant, nothing to complain about, its our second stay there and would definitely stay there again.
Although my stay at YHA Whitby was enjoyable there were many areas in which the experience was lacking. The bathrooms were clean, but they smelled incredibly musty. The lockers are small. Wi-fi is an extra cost, and only works in the common room. There were large numbers of children, & families staying at the hostel and nearly no actual 'youth' therefore it was not the best place to go as a single traveler.
My review is slightly biased as i didnt get much sleep from others snoring heavily through the night.
This place was ideal for all our party's needs, clean rooms and a cheap rate. You get value for money and the hostel is set in a beautiful location.
