This hostel is quite good. I stayed in a private room with a bunkbed with my friend for 3 nights. The location was a little too remote. If you are not driving there, it will take you great effort finding and getting there.

Nice location (a little to far from Scaffell Pike if you are planning on climbing) This is a family hostel and there is an 11:30pm curfew, which means if you want to go out for a few drinks or even a meal, make sure you do it early so that you are back.

We got off on wrong bus stop when my friend and I first arrived, and we walked a quit long journey to find the hostel. Actually, it located not far from a bus stop. The landscap of the hostel is beautiful.

I can't stand with a toilet with window but no shower curtain and especially it's designed for the handicapped.

This hostel is great if you're a school group or a family with screaming kids. If you're a single adult traveller, not so much. The atmosphere isn't peaceful. The self-catering kitchen and seating area is usually busy - probably aided by the fact that (despite being a long way out of town) this hostel's kitchen takes last orders at 7.30pm. Many people don't get back in from their outdoor activities til that kind of time. One of the showers leaks through the dining room light fitting.

hostel is on top a very big hill! prepare yourself to walk up with your bags, but the view you get is amazing! and really worth it! had a 4 bedroom, but very very very small, almost got claustrofobic. they have a nice combination of self catering and buy just a bowl of salad of chips. and again: amazing view when you get there!
