Staff were firendly and helpful and the place was fine with views to die for. Food was plentiful and tasty and it is much easier eating on site. Beers were really good too. Shame you can't influence the weather!!

Poor facilities, lock up at 11.30pm completely and not a great atmosphere.

If u don't care the 15 mins walking from the nearest bus station, maybe it's the best choice for the hostel.

Great hostel. Clean kitchen. Fire and reading area. I've never met a more helpful or friendlier staff at a hostel. The £5 full breakfast was worth it as my friends and I hiked the rest of the day, but buy some food before you come to cook with (inexpensive grocery store in Windermere) as food at the hostel can be expensive and coming to and fro the hostel is a hastle. The hill is HUGE, so bear in mind if you're coming at night or with lots of luggage. From experience, a cab is worth it.)
