The staff were very friendly and helpful and had a very pleasant way of dealing with us. We got a bit muddled up about the buses to York but that was probably because we had not checked or asked. The only point against is that the self catering kitchen is a bit tight for space, however it is very convenient to sit outside if the weather is good. We enjoyed ourselves and were very positive about our stay......we thought the layout and amenities of a four bed family room were A one........

Nice and clean hostel, but a bit far from the centre.

Quite out of the way, especially with the walk along the river closed at the train bridge. But not the hostels fault. lovely facilities.

The staff was absolutely wonderful and helpful never stayed at a hostel where they were that nice. The only complain I have was that the ensuite bathroom was a bit old and the doors would not close properly.

We only stayed one night for new years. The reception area was very modern and cosy. The bedrooms were clear, nice and very well priced. Stayed in a 4 bed door. Enough space for us all to pass out in.

Hooks to hang your clothes on in the shower and a shelf to put your soap etc, would be perfect.

Please could you liase with each other as to what deposit I paid, because I think I paid too much. The reception didn't know how much I had paid to hostelworld. Please can I have a refund of overpayment. Thank you. The left hand should know what the right hand is doing. Thank you.

Location (address) bad, it far of the city zone. Wi-fi and breakfast not free. Staff not able to do enough attention to the costumers.

We received the best service of any place we have stayed so far on our holiday - the only exception being one extremely rude staff member serving breakfast on the 28th. Special mention should go to Andrew who was enthusiastic, polite, and extremely hard working. Both Andrew and his colleagues on the evening of 27th and 28th maintained good humour and professionalism in the face of some appallingly rude people (mostly the "grown up" members of the young families that were present)
