Amazing hostel, reminded me of a hotel almost. Large kitchen, great entertainment lounge and access to brochures. Clean bathrooms. Very eco-friendly building.

Front of house staff was always great and informative, very smiley. Housekeeping staff got annoying throughout my stay - is it difficult to stay outside the room for 5 minutes while I change clothes to get out of your way? Sorry for sleeping in past 10. They acted like it was end of the world. That's the only slightly inconvenienced moment I had in Wellington, which makes for an awesome stay.

YHA are so always standardised... and lack atmosphere and character as a result. There are no surprises, you know what to expect and there is some comfort in that sometimes. Pretty good hostel for advice etc.. and their meal nights seem like good value too.
