Bogdan met us at our bus stop and he was really helpful. He gave us advices and city maps and some refreshments as well. We felt he was very competent and invested in his job. We got a very nice apartment located in the historic city center. It was very safe because there was a guardian at the entrance of the building.

I would recommend the YMCA Hostel to anyone. It is a one bedroom apartment with a kitchen, very clean, and an excellent location. Bogdan went out of his way to help us, picking us up at the train station and, as we had an evening train departure, even bringing our luggage back to the train station. He made Bucharest recommendations and left us refreshments in the fridge. Excellent accomodation and service.

Bogdan was super helpful, took the time the help us find train times to Brasov and recommended best places to go and when to be there. Monica was a bit late picking us up from the airport but aside from that our stay was brilliant - the bottle of wine as an arrival present was a really nice touch. The area the apartment is in was being rebuilt so not really anything that they can do about that but it does mean you are isolated from any other travellers you may want to meet - however location A+

Bogdan's hospitality is amazing. The best part of the three days was lunch and beers Cucu de Beer. Thanks!

Bogdan & Monika were two of the most helpful hostel owners we have met on our whole trip. They helped us plan not only our time in Bucharest but also our entire stay in Romania. As the hostel was being renovated we stayed in both a 1 bdr apartment then a studio apartment as we extended our stay. Both really clean and great facilities with perfect location next to the old quarter of town. We would recommend taking the directions advice and getting them to meet you. It is impossible to find alone.

The location of the apartement was excellent: right next to piata unirii, at the corner of the old city center and its hundreds of bars! The apartement itself was clean and had all things needed. But unfortunately the shower had no curtain and there was always a smell like sewerage in the bathroom. The staff memeber told us, that YMCA itself was being renovated and instead YMCA rented apartements all over the city. Bad thing because we counted on the common room, which wasn't there...

Bogdan, the owner, is a very special person! So nice and sympathetic! The private apartments Were Wonderful! Big and clean! Bucharest is an amzing city! The Romainians are so nice and helpful! YMCA is the best place to stay! I've traveled the world, but Romania is a very special Country! We feel like we're home!

We had a wonderful stay in Bucharest thanks to Bogan who was very kind with us. He explained us what to visit and was very gentle. Our room was clean, comfortable and well furnished. If we come back back to Bucharest we will definitively go back to the same hostel!
