It was about a 15=minute walk from the bus terminal accessible by public bus from the airport and within walking distance to everything. The staff were super accommodating when they were there but they were not always, even at posted hours during a weekend. My 4-bed room (no bunks) was large and had individual closets and tables. The adjacent full kitchen was pretty well stocked except no microwave and had a large TV with 500+ channels. There were 3 locks on doors but none on the closets. Recom

booked 3 bed dorm but there were 4 bed in the room, no heating, wi-fi work very bad, sheets not changed and stained. Several times i have found main door of the hostel and door at the floor fully opened. Room door lock not working. Basic facilities, Staff correct. Very good location, in the heart of the city.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the YMCA. The staff was nice and very helpful, the room and kitchen both nice and clean. However, the bathroom was not very clean and it didn't feel like the twice daily cleaning promised was carried out. Our stay was also complicated by the fact that no one was there to take care of our keys as we were checking out.

The hostel could have been cleaner and better kitted out. There is no heating and it is very cold at night time.

I had a great time ad YMCA. The staff, namely Carmelo , is super nice! I just got to know about the story behind YMCA (helping homeless people) only after arrival and thus felt more pleasant staying at YMCA. I orginally planned to stay for 2 nights, then stayed for 5 days, all the way through my trip in Malta. It's convenient to go from Valletta to other places anyway. Do recommend YMCA to any visitor to Valletta:)

At first I booked for 2 nights only, but I felt so well there, that I decided to stay for a week. It's a very good place to stablish your camp during your stay in Malta. You can reach all points by bus, because Valletta Bus Terminal is 10 minutes walking trhough Republic Street, the main street of Valletta, where you can find lots of shops, good restaurants and an amazing enviroment. I recomend this place, for sure.

The hostel was generally well maintained, well situated in Valletta, and has a great set up if you're planning to cook a lot

Great spot to stay in the old town near to everything. It is nice that the accommodation is a four bed apartment as a pleasant break from crowded dorms and the Moroccan style common area is lovely. Morning starts with CJ the canary singing its heart out! Carmelo who runs the place is a nice friendly guy and it's worthwhile learning about the good work they do in Malta at the shelter. All in all, a great experience and I hope I will be back! Thanks guys. Gerdette from Ireland
