I had stayed here several years ago & decided to again since I had been pleased with the place ~ I was not disappointed on my repeat visit. Great place all round. Highly recommended.

One toilet for a room of floors is not enough. Did not know they turned this YWCA into men and women both can stay there. They should change the name. Waiting for a toilet in the middle of the night is not fun and it was not even close to my room. There were about a dozen rooms on our floor .

Hi Beverly, We're so sorry you were unhappy with your stay. Our YWCA has been coed since 1986, so we no longer mention it to all guests. And yes, your floor did have about a dozen rooms but only 5 of them use the hallway bathroom. The others have their own bathrooms. Our front desk could have pointed out that the bathroom key you were issued would fit any bathroom in the hotel, so at least you could have gone up or down a floor instead of waiting. Our apologies - we hope you enjoyed Vancouve

Its basically a hotel not a hostel so don't expect to be able to use the kitchen or meet people in the dining room. Everything seemed to cost money too which was a let down for a YWCA.

Clean, friendly, felt extremely safe, easy to find from the Airport. Perfect for an overnight stop in the city before heading up to Whistler. Would definitely stay again ;)
