Very nice Japanese style room. Breakfast is good and cheap. Next to the Happo One Ski Resort.

A great homely little hostel, run by an adorable little old 'mama-san' who, while her english isnt great, will try and help in whatever way she can. when they say ski in/out they mean it! the place is right next to the main gondola for the happo one slopes, so heading home was just a matter of skiing back, crossing one road and walking right in the front door. they also have a good cheap breakfast, as well as saunas and baths. Not the fanciest, but certainly nice and great value for money.

The reception staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfasts were simple but lovely and the jacuzzi on the roof is a very nice touch! Being able to ski to the lodge was an amazing feature that a lot of other places don't have.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise after a rough trip in Tokyo. Everyone was so friendly and nice, and welcoming. The owners were magnificent and charming and sweet, and we would easily stay here again many times. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and being so kind to us!

Cute little place, quite traditional, in a handy area. Hard to find, but have faith with their directions - they work!

This wasn't my 1st choice place to stay in Hakuba but was a good find! It's an old, family-run, ski lodge with a location that's hard to beat - almost right opposite a chairlift ("Shirakaba 1") and about 100 metres from the Happo-one ("Adam") gondola. The owners speak a little English but will do their best to help you. I tried to stay an extra night but they were full, so the owner called a friend who ran another place (the Happo Lodge) and got me a room there for the same price :-)
