The staff here are really friendly and helpful. I also found they were willing to let me practice my Chinese, which is pretty poor and so needs working on. I'd definitely go back because they were excellent. However I would have to say that the showers definitely could be cleaner and there are no storage lockers either to leave your bag on the final day nor for your personal items. Walking around Pingyao this would appear to be a common scenario though so not sure you'll find better.

we stay to night in this hostel. the staff is very nice and helpfull. we booked the 7 bed dorm, just under the roof, no dunk bed, 7 single bed in a big room. for the shared bathroom, you got 2 shower, big and clean, with very hot water, and a space to put your cloth outside. the hostel is full of charm, in a old house. I warmly recommend this hostel.

A beautiful courtyard hostel located near the main streets of the town. The staff was very helpful. This is a highly recommended hostel, and the town of Pingyao too!

Perfect location, rooms with traditional (huge) beds, nice and helpful staff. At the time we stayed there they had the sweetest little puppy :-)

A great place to stay, with amazing character and heplful english speaking staff. Just bring flip flops for the showers.
