Really enjoyed our stay in Yangshuo largely due to the hostel and what was available tour wise (exploring caves and kayaking). A little on the pricey side but we were in a private room. Simon was exceptionally helpful, even came to pick us up in the middle of the night out of the blue.

A lovely, quaint hostel located a short distance from the town centre. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, but still want to be close enough to the bars and restaurants in the centre of Yangshuo.. This is perfect. Best to rent bicycles ( which you can from the hostel) as the town is a bit of a walk. Simon, the owner of the hostel, is extremely accommodating and will help you out with anything from tours to transportation. We met some great people here!

Out of town a bit... The hostel it's self is an authentic Chinese court yard. About 15/20 minutes to cycle into town. Michele the owner defiantly a bit of a character. Staff are friendly, nice place. Good for trekking and a 5 minute walk to the river front.

Great option for those who are willing to escape from crowded China life. Nice and helpful staff, organic food from the private garden, picturesque neighbourhood, make this place perfect for those who are willing to visit Yangshuo. Great ballance value for money!

A little far to the city but more quiet :) they are a very nice family.

Lovely little place just a bit of a walk into town and quiet during the off season. Very helpful owner.

Located a little way outside of Yangshuo, so nicely outside the main tourist hype, but still only a short walk/cycle in to town. And the local buses stop right outside the door (buses from Guilin do as well if you get on the one to Gongcheng). The owner speaks very good English. The hostel itself is very nice, we would definitely recommend it. The rooms with a view are not worth the extra money though as no view! And the sign outside says Da Wai Hutong.

I had a great time in Beautiful Dahutong. Simon, his family and his cat were very helpful and friendly. The guesthouse is just outside Yangshou (15 min walk) and it is set by the river in a small village with a very beautiful nature scenario around it. It merges the peaceful environment of the countryside with the city life. Vibrant place, multicultural environment and a lot of lessons and tours to make! I did calligraphy and it was great fun!  Great food and a lot to do and see!
