We enjoyed staying at the Yellow House Hostel. It is a small hostel in a nice and clean and safe neighborhood in Medellin. The metro is just a few minutes walking distance away so you can go to the center (or anywhere else) easily. Vince the owner was always friendly and helpful and every morning he prepared a great breakfast with eggs, toast, juice, coffee and fruit. The kitchen has everything you need and the hostel was always clean and the dogs really well behaved ;) Izzy and Mike

Great stay at YellowHouse !!!! Don Vincent is a great person as well as Señora Beatriz. The two dogs are calm and friendly. Facilities are very good... and the neighborhood La Floresta is a great location for this hostel, very safe !!!! Also, from there, touristic places are close: the center, the Nutibara Mount... there is a pool about 2 or 3 stations away... Muchas gracias !

Overall a solid place to stay. Low-key vibe in a cool residential area. Everybody generally hangs out together and it's easy to meet people if you're travelling alone. Cool dogs.

I recommend 100%, all ages because this hostel isn´t for trashy parties. The environment here is very relaxed and almost like home. Vincent is a great host and he made breakfast every day which was excellent. The beds were comfortable and the price was reasonable. It is not a party hostel, which is a great thing when you spend all day in the loud city. Besides, you can party anywhere in the city. Guests seemed to get along well in this respectful environment, and there were funny moments.

Really nice, atmospheric hostel. Best free breakfast I ever got in a hostel. Nice owner with two beautiful dogs. If you want to party every night in El Poblado better stay there, because you will always need to take a taxi back (ca. 12000 Pesos). But for everyone else this is a really good place to stay, close to the metro and everything you need.

We loved our stay at Vince's Yellow House Hostel. It has everything you need and the owner and his dogs are priceless. The only thing that could have been better was the mattress.

I've stayed here on two separate occasions and would not hesitate to recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet bed in a safe and conveniently located neighborhood. The host Vincent works tirelessly to ensure the comfort of each guest, starting every day with a scrumptious two egg breakfast served with fresh juice and fruit, toast, and coffee. I thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations as well as the communal experience on both of my visits and would stay here again.

Great location close to metro, can get anywhere. Delicious breakfast (eggs, toast, jam, coffee, fruit). Wifi worked great and staff were helpful and nice, gave us maps and tips. Dorm was a bit cramped (no lockers) and is basically a garage turned into room. Just one electric socket for 6 person dorm. Best hot shower in Colombia!!!

Disappointed and wouldn't return to due to a number of basic issues. See trip advisor review.

Close to the metro, nice neighborhood, and Vincent is very knowledge about the city. There are two cute dogs running around the house, so if you are an animal lover, then that is a plus!

Really nice place in a residential area in Medellin. It's only two blocks away from a metro station which leaves this place in a really comfortable and secure place. Not to mention the staff, friendly atmosphere and great breakfasts too. I'll definitely go back to yellow house whenever I go back to Medellin!

There were plenty of shops, restaurants and metro a short walk away, including a great little restaurant on the next corner. Security was great with the gate locked but there were no private lockers in the dorm. The ceiling in the 6 bed dorm is quiet low so you can't sit up in the bed without hitting your head, felt a little cramped. Breakfast was excellent and cooked for each guest by Vince every morning, a big winner as it also included eggs and fresh fruit, not just toast and jam!
