We loved our stay at Yellow House Hostel! The staff were super friendly, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was delicious, and the location is very convenient for sight seeing. We spent seceral evenings socializing in the garden or common area. The two wonderful dogs only added to the charm of the hostel. We would definitely recommend making Yellow House Hostel as your home in Medellin.

The hostel is a family house and you can feel that in the atmosphere and attitude of the staff. The guy who received us was gentle but the lady has an attitude that made us feel uncomfortable. Some other members of the staff at night doesn't even say hello back at you :/ Also the kitchen is next to a dorm that does not have a door. Therefore you cannot talk in the kitchen and is not comfortable to use. The hostel is next to the metro and that helps whith the city exploration.

Great hostel, in a very safe neighbourhood and super close to the metro station that will take you anywhere in the city. Owner is lovely and the staff there are always willing to help, the breakfast is great, very clean facilities and comfy beds :) would definitely stay again.

Amazing hostel, if I could rate the staff higher I would. Everyone was extremely nice, owner was great. I ended up getting sick here and stayed that way most of my time here but the staff helped me get back on my feet. Good location, right by the metro. Very nice place to stay.

This hostel is very conveniently located next to a Metro stop, which provides easy access to central Medellin. The staff are friendly and helpful, as well, and the whole place has a really good vibe. The breakfast is also a plus.

If you're coming to Medellin to party, this is not the hostel for you. This is a nice, family friendly place to stay and recharge after exploring everything Medellin has to offer. The folks who run the place are wonderful people in every way, and will help out in any way that they can. Its proximity to the metro is very convenient as well.

Thanks! Really enjoyed my stay.

Location is good, safe neighborhood and very near metro station (though not a lot else there and a long way from most of the hostels in Poblado). Hostel is secure and staff are very nice. We were there in mid-December and there was little to no atmosphere. Also, the staff did my laundry and a couple items went missing (staff do laundry all together then make educated guesses about what's yours)

I really wanted to love it, sounded like my kind of thing when booked, but i can't say i have. It is not a hostel, but a home stay, which has some obvious minuses. Stayed in a private room - no windows, very humid, little privacy given that the rooms are next to the always on laundry as well as kitchen and everything else. Two out of three nights were super loud. No traveller vibe. On a positive note - likes the suburban location and breakfast.

This place is run by a family, and that gives it a very cosy athmosphere. The hosts were very friendly and the woman of the house even cooked us a meal. The hostel is located in a quiet neighbourhood, easily reached by metro from the city center. Not the right place if you want to party but perfect if you are looking to escape from crowded Medellin citycenter. The facilities need to be updated. The bunk beds are horrible. If anyone turns around in bed, the whole bunk bed shakes.

Excellent hostel. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Very nice hostel in a rather quiet neighbourhood, not a lot of tourists around (nice contrast to el poblado). Safe to walk around after dark and super close to the metro station! About 10min to the center. The whole family with their two beautiful and very well behaved dogs live at the hostel, so there are always some people around. I stayed in the private room, so cant really tell anything about the dorm. Would stay there again if going to Medellín.

Thanks to the location (2 blocks from the metro), this hostel is a perfect spot to explore the whole city. The owners and their dogs are very nice. The breakfast an coffee are great. Definately not a party hostel but a nice, relaxxed place in the city.

Stayed for 2 nights. Staff were really helpful and gave us lots of tips on what to do and see in medillin. The hostel is a little outside of town but very close to the metro station which is easy to negotiate, even with little Spanish. Stayed in the 6 bed dorm which was very spacious. But theven ceilings were low which made being on the top bunk a bit of a challenge. There was also one one locker for the whole room but still very safe. Breakfast was great too definitely would stay here again

Very cozy hostel with a kind and welcoming staff. It's very close to the metro so you can reach any part of the city easily, though the metro closes around 11pm so it's easiest to be back to the hostel by then. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, but a short walk away from restaurants and bars.

Loved that the dogs are there but it was frequently loud and hard to and a quiet place to talk to people back home

Great little hostel in a great location. The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly like noonelese. The facilites need an investment soon.

Very nice and homely place. When I arrived there I had the flu, and everyone working there was being very kind and helpful! It's small and quiet; exactly what we needed. We ended up staying three nights more. Fast wi-fi and great breakfast too :)

Good facilities, nice and clean place, and they cook a nice little breakfast - but the atmosphere seemed a bit boring. A good place for staying one day or two for some quiet days though. I would ask for a price without breakfast since the meal is quite small - though it tastes very good!
