I've stayed in hostels the length & breadth of Europe and this one, without a doubt, is one of the very best. Free shots at 11, great internet, cheap beer, superb atmosphere for socialising and meeting people, clean facilities, the best staff and easy to find, you'd be crazy to look anywhere else in Portugal for a better hostel.

It is not suitable for people who expected calm night

One of the best hostel I have ever stayed! I wished we stayed longer. The staffs were friendly, helpful and fun! The facility caters to the backpackers' needs. Right after I mentioned I'm going to Coldplay's gig, the staffs checked the gate open time for me. It's a shame that when we missed the last train to Lisbon on Sunday evening& called the hostel to ask for bus info, the female staff was not helpful. She told us to get info from tourist offices instead while all of them were closed then

This is a very party-like hostel with a great atmosphere for meeting people, going out, and having fun. At the same time it is very modern, clean and well organised. Definitely worth recommendation!

The dorm has a female dorm but the bathroom is unisex, would be great if can have the bathroom separated for male and female.

Yes! Porto Hostel sets the standard for what all hostels should aspire to. I haven't stayed in a better hostel - and I have stayed in many hostels all over the world. It really is that good. Please keep up the great work you are doing. A special thank you to Katerina and Rita for going out of their way to help me find my way around. And thank you to the night staff - sorry I can't remember your names because I was a little drunk! And you should definitely take part in the hostel dinner - wow!

The only thing that I believe can be better is internet wifi in the rooms.

Excellent hostel! The staff is amazing! Really helpful and friendly people. All facilities in perfect conditions and totally clean. The hostel atmosphere is very nice. If I come back to Porto, I'll stay there again.

Probably the best hostel I've ever been to. Very nice and helpful staff, great location. The only drawback is that there is no elevator.
