Great bunches of black hair found in the beds - not ours. Rooms had no bedside tables, bins, heaters etc - I mean we were expecting basic but come on. Both sinks I tried including bedroom sink had no hot water. I was expecting budget but I have to say this was worse than expected.

People are far too hard on the York Street hotel, and I think it's because it names itself a "hotel", but for the price you're paying if you think you're going to end up with an actual hotel you're probably lacking in more than a few brain cells. It's really just a b&b, and if you're wanting cheap accommodation it does the job. It's a place to sleep that's not going to break the bank unless you try and book out the whole establishment, just don't expect good quality. Lovely people, shabby place.
