Was attacked by bed bugs all over my body and face. Air conditioning was noisy all night and couldn't sleep. Avoid at all costs if you are a wise traveller.

Awesome hostel and brilliant location to get to the park. If you want somewhere reasonable price near the park then this is for you. Only word of advice, bug spray!! Lots of it!

Whilst the dorm cabin was perfectly spacious and clean for 12 people, we were extremely disappointed with the kitchen facilities. The cabin that provides this was way too small for the number of guests. We frequently had nowhere to sit and eat and had to wait in line for a chance to use the kitchen and then sit down. The kitchen itself is also absolutely disgusting! It's tiny, seriously old fashioned and was very, very dirty. I dont' think the hob tops had been wiped down in over a year.

Private double room with en-suite bathroom was really comfortable and clean. Loved the take away lunch available as well.

Stayed in a dorm with 11 people and it was fine. There were 2 clean toilets and showers and you had access to the kitchen. The Bug Cafe next door has good food, a bit pricey though. The hostel's WiFi connection was very poor.

It could be better to include the breakfast in the price.

Lockers are available (own lock) your not next door to Yosemite but the bus is fairly regular so you can get in without any issues. Excellent facilities including the $10 spa which includes hot tub and sauna, food is expensive so make ssure you stock up before you get there as nearest store is a bus ride away.

It was quite quiet and empty whilst we were there which took away from the atmosphere. Also, there is a long walk up the hill from the bus stop which can be dangerous due to the bears lurking behind every tree. They truly are vicious creatures. One swipe and your dead. Apart from that its a lovely stay. GREAT food, and very helpful staff who helped us organise trips to the park and the rest of our travels................. just be careful of the bears.

loved yosemite bug!! as a lone traveler, i didn't want to spend a fortune staying in the valley. but yosemite bug, at an amazing price, was only a 30-minute drive away, and the drive is majestic, beautiful, and calming. stayed in winter, and there was nary a soul there... but i had 5 of the best roommates ever! kate, lindsey, stephanie, max, catherine, you all rock my world. we had a jolly time in the cozy cafe, the functional kitchen, and our warm room. alex at reception rocks too! xxx

Yosemite Bug Hostel Resort exceeded my expectations in so many ways! I especially enjoyed the rustic decor and friendliness of the lounge/cafe combination room, and the cafe: simplicity, menus, portion sizes and good-value prices. Among other facilities, the "memory-foam" type of mattresses in the dorm were extra comfy. And without access by the Y.A.R.T.S. bus system - I would not have been able to stay at The Bug, or to get back and forth to Yosemite Park daily. Good job "Bug"! - Melanie K.

We really enjoyed our stay at Yosemite Bug. It was a close drive to Yosemite Park and had plenty of accomodation options. We stayed in one of the insulated tents and loved it! We also enjoyed the spa and sauna they have on site. Perfect for unwinding on a cold night.
