Loved the location of this hostel, hidden away in the forest. There was an issue when we arrived as my boyfriend & I had been put in separate dorm rooms on opposite sides of the site, this was frustrating as we had booked under the premise we were in the same room. It was all resolved eventually thanks to who I assume was the manager. The bathrooms were clean, there were lots of lockers in the dorm along with shelf space for everyone & a campfire at night.

The Hostel was about 40 minutes away from Yosemite Valley. Little cabins with two to twelve bedrooms were in the woods. Kitchenarea was nice. Spa like in picture is an extra 10dollar. All in all pretty nice place to do some great hikes in Yosemite.

The hostel was good for a base to Yosemite valley. The staff offered good advice for tricks etc. location was ok about an hour from the valley but good for the price. The cafe is amazing great takeaway lunches, breakfasts and dinners. Beds were reasonable. Showers ok

It's clean. The dorm has 2rms with a door in between and 2 showers and toilets on side . Each rm has three bunk beds. Charging outlets only available outside the toilets. Only 4 lockers and one shelf and a desk as well as a chair for 6 people in each rm. beds r comfortable, way better than NY hostel. Additional 15% off for everything if u go by public transportation. Bus stop is about 10min walk right outside the resort.

I went to Yosemite as a solo traveler and happen to stay at this place. This place is AWESOME. I had all access to all the facilities I needed. Clean/Comfortable bed, bedsheets, pillow. The common bathrooms and toilets were really clean and were beyond my expectation. You have safe lockers to keep your stuff. But, you need to get your own lock. Flashlights were provided to minimize the discomfort to other ppl while you are searching for your bed and walking in/out of the dorm.

I thought the hostel was great overall, good location with links to the park, nice staff and nice atmosphere. The showers in our dorm were freezing cold though which was annoying, but I guess there isn't much you can really do about that.

The rooms are quite decent, just that the shower is a little bit hard to operate. Its either bathing in freezing or burning water.

The door to the dorm building is frequently left unlocked, even overnight. Perhaps change the lock to something that automatically locks when shut. Since nothing can be done about the length and elevation of that driveway, at least put some streetlights along the way.

Very nice hostel in the middle of nature, nice and clean rooms, temperature perfect, like one hour away from the park and good food offer. Everything perfect.

Loved the rustic charm, the intimate connection with the natural surroundings, friendly and lively staff. But above all, Juan and Rodriguo, the two chefs in the kitchen of the Café were just amazing! Fresh local sourced food, prepared with all the trimmings with an inventive flair that rivals any urban fine dining experience. Delicious packed lunch for less than 8$ for day long hikes. Beautiful Yoga room. Spa with sauna and spacious showers. Dorm was clean but too crowded.

Great location - if you have a car, although I think there are buses that go up into the park which is about 1 hour's drive (Yosemite Village, or the other way, Mariposa Grove.) Very picturesque site, huts nestling on the wooded hillside . Excellent café. Misunderstanding however through use of 12 hour clock - I thought it shut at 11am! The dormitory keys were a bit iffy, but the lockers had lugs for private padlocks (sold at reception) Good showers, loos, hot water, but no bedside lights.

Except the unadjustable hot water in the dorm room, everything is great.

Yosemite Bug was a nice enough place to stay. Loved the food at the cafe. A bit of a while away from Yosemite National Park itself but if you don't mind the short drive then its fine.

Very nice place conveniently located near Yosemite NP. There is also plenty of stuff to do nearby, and I was pleasantly surprised to even find a sauna and Jacuzzi there (for a fee). Our check-in was great, but some of the staff lacked a bit of courtesy. There was also no staff no be seen near the spa at some point when we wanted to go in. Eventually we went in and made use of the facilities (we had paid it beforehand), realising nobody would come anytime soon.
