Young Dudes

Young Dudes is the quintessential surf hostel, and the quintessential backpackers too. It's located 100 yards from the first really great sand break, on the Tijuana-Ensenada Highway, going south. (K58.7)

It was set up by two guys with hostel experience in Victoria Falls, Cape Town, Durban, Surfers' Paradise, Biarritz and Newquay, so it's got just about everything.

Accommodation-wise there's a combination of dorms, singles and doubles to suit all pockets and moods!
Food-wise it's pizzas and barbeque packs. Plus free tea and coffee.

Other facilities provided are laundry, free WIFI, a pole-dancing pole, a pool table and Sport TV, which includes proper football from England and Europe, as well as the American variety.
We also have a Help Desk to sort out transport and activities.

Talking of activities, Young Dudes have come with a plan that we think's a winner. Most of the activity guys we work with continue to charge high season rates throughout the year.We don't think this is brilliant. We've now convinced them to reduce their rates drastically, at least until Easter. For example, a half hour surfing lesson typically costs around US$35. Until further notice it will cost our guests only US$10 for the same product. The same bargains will be on offer with horse riding, microlights, including flying lessons, and much else besides.

Our reception is open from 6am to 10pm. Late check-in and late check-out can be arranged.

Internet is by WIFI only but the manager is not anal about the use of his laptop if you really need to communicate
