The breakfast actually is free, unlike it says online (coffee, OJ, croissants, and toast), which is great. Not every floor has a bathroom, and there are more showers than toilets.. My room kind of smelled, and fellow guests weren't very friendly, but that's not the hostel's fault. Overall, it was a good place to stay, okay for the money (free luggage storage before and after your stay) and in a good area of town, as my Parisian friends had recommended.
Vidji was excellent !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very very helpful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This hostel is okay if you don't have any expectations (it is a hostel so I get that you make a sacrifice when staying there). The worst part about the hostel was that the bathrooms were REALLY gross, the shower curtains desperatly need to be thrown out, they are so disgusting and smell so bad. I stayed in a 6 bedroom dorm and there was only one outlet in the entire room and you have to go into someones bunk bed to access it. Location was amazing & being close to a metro stop was a plus!
it was my second time there no fee internet good meals
Loved this hostel. Stayed at another hostel in Paris then moved here, and this was vastly better. Amazing location and great for meeting people. Only thing to complain about are the squeaky beds, but it's not a huge deal.
I loved staying in the Latin quarter. Being on rue mouffetard there was plenty of cheap food options and getting around the city was easily. The facilities were older and a bit dirty around the edges but what can you expect, it's Paris at a somewhat reasonable price
This is such a great hostel, especially for Paris. Excellent location in a beautiful part of Paris and 2 minutes away from the closest metro. 8 bed dorm was very cramped but the ensuite bathroom was great, very clean. Good quality free breakfast of croissant and coffee. I've heard hostels in Paris are awful but Young and Happy definitely exceeded expectations and I would recommend to anyone that visits Paris.
It was a good time. The staff is very friendly and helpful, especially Joaquim! The only thing is the shower, which is not very practical. Returning to Paris, certainly the hostel will be my home.
My first time staying at a hostel and it was great! Perfect location, clean and comfortable. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful.
After reading reviews on french hostels i was a bit apprehensive, but young and happy proved to be just that, a place where you can have a good rest a good breakfast and be in the heart of Paris, i walked everywhere :-D. I am not really sure what people are expecting from a hostel but for me it was perfect. And the staff were lovely. Thank you.

one of the most social hostels I've ever been to, the whole staff are very friendly and will gladly help with everything. free lunch and pub crawl everyday...will definitely come back
Not the cleanest hostel I have stayed in, but also not the worst. It was average. The free breakfast was lovely, the staff were excellent. The rooms have a lack of outlets, bathrooms weren't the cleanest, kitchen was small and only had a little bar fridge for everyone to share. There is also no real living room which was a little disappointing so it's hard to relax if you want a lazy night in.
Young and happy was great! I loved my stay here. The entrance to the hostel really encourages meeting people, hanging out and having fun. Within 15 minute walking distance to many great sites; pantheon, notre dame, luxembourg gardens, and more. 5 minute walk to the metro. Many great food places near the hostel. The Latin quarter is a nice district to stay in so I highly recommend it. I traveled alone, this place has everything you're looking for in a hostel! 10/10 would stay again, kappa
A bit far from city center, but very well worth it for the price compared to other hostels. Surrounded by pubs, restaurants, and bakeries you definitely wouldn't go hungry. The reception lady was SO sweet! No luggage lockers but reception offers a small locker on the main floor for valuables so that sufficed plenty. Loved my stay here :)
The hostel was in a great area. The staff were so friendly, which always makes such a big difference. I really appreciated it.

The hotel locates at the center of Paris and near the subway station. The staff is very warm and helpful that gives me the feeling of staying at home. The facility at this hotel is nice inculding free vifi, kitchen, etc. I will recommend my friend to stay here.
All in all a wonderful hostel I would recommend to others. In a wonderful part of the city and right near a subway access point, Young and Happy sits in the Mouffetard neighborhood, which is bustling with shops, restaurants, and bars. It is fairly close to all the major landmarks, although walking to all of them would definitely take you some time. The rooms are small but hey, it's a hostel. Showers are warm but is button/timer operated. Staff is very pleasant. Greatly pleased!
positives: great location, close to the metro, friendly staff, free continental breakfast, nice communal spaces for travellers. negatives: 8 bedroom dorm is extremely cramped, bathroom constantly flooding, check in is only 4pm, not particularly clean. Also there was 2 nights were there was no electricity in our dorm, spoke to reception repeatedly, still took 2 days to be fixed. I would stay again though, mostly for the location!
This hostel was small and cosy. Had a nice atmosphere and the staff were all absolute legends. Showers and lack of enough power outlets would be my only complaints but it's fine. Great hostel within walking distance to Notre-Dame and close to a metro stop.
Excelent location, right next to the best crepes in Paris and walking distante from the Pantheon, Louvre, Catacombs and Notre Dame. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Be sure tp get there early, if you can, because they could upgrade your room if available (first come, first serve). My only recomendation for the hostel will be to have bigger lockers inside the rooms.
