Good, very organized, but not so many young people

The hostel is very clean, bed linen and breakfast are included! The position is very very good! you have to pay extra if you aren't a member of the hostel's chain, it's around 6 euros each person!

We stayed at this hostel 2 years ago and since then it has really declined. The whole place feels tired and outdated. The bathroom facilities are not adequate - they have a very limited number of push button showers and there are no where near enough of them. The breakfast is pretty poor and minimal. Given this has been the most expensive hostel we have stayed at, we expected a lot more for our money. The staff were lovely and did their best but a renovation is desperately needed.

Great breakfast, very clean place, and a bit of a walk from the train station but in a beautiful setting and really close to the Parliament building and the city center. Pretty expensive, yes, but I felt like I got my money's worth, especially considering it's in Switzerland, which is just expensive in general.

The Hostel was easy to find in a very convenient location. Will definitely stop here again if I find myself in Bern.

Loved it..

It was the best hostel I've been to. Very knowledgeable, helpful staff who make you feel as much at home as one could in a hostel. I was planning in two nights but felt so comfortable that I made it four instead. I'll be back next year. Also the location just down the hill from the parliament could not have been better. I hope the next place I stay at is at least 75% of the place. Youth hostel in Berne rocks.

Clean and in a good location but nothing much to do there. AND you have to pay extra if you aren't a member of the hostels chain which apparently is in the small print on Hostelworld.

You must to pay more than they say in hostelworld, Thay said because you have not the membership card!!!

Pros: Awesome included breakfast. All you can eat selection of cereals, yoghurts, breads, crackers, jams, cheeses, coffee, a huge selection of teas, orange juice.. Good fast internet, free wifi. Except some sites have been blocked by the internet provider. Staff were very polite and helpful. Cons: No lockers in rooms. No kitchen for use by guests (there is a fridge, kettle/jug and microwave)

It was just a good hostel of HI standards, big annd clean, with good breakfast which consisted not only of jam, honey and cereals but also some cheese and cold meats. Location is perfect - it's 3 minutes walking distance from the Parliament building (up the hill, but that's not a problem at all). The biggest problem was the drunk German speaking guy who came back to the hostel at 6 a.m. and entered the dorm shouting, but this was not the hostel's fault though.
