A bit too expensive for what it is. However, if you're looking for a clean bed in a nice location for a couple of days, I definitely recommend this place. It also seems to accommodate for all ages and all types of groups. Nice staff, too. They seem willing to help out with all queries.

Good hostel, wonderful position, quiet, nice staff, if you don't have the hostel card (around 30euro) you have to pay around 5euro/day.

This hostel is used by a lot of groups eg schools and sporting teams. Unfortunately the walls are also paper thin so the teenage girls a few doors down could be heard squealing as if they were in my room. Located on the outskirts of town, the cable car is recommended. I did not find the directions specific enough as I had to ask people how to get to the initial key sites e g Loebs. wifi not in rooms and only 1 PowerPoint per dorm room. Ok hostel for a night to two. Pretty surrounds.

The included breakfast buffet was great. Although the hostel was a little hard to find (down a steep hill, kind of tucked away) it's in a good location, maybe 15 minutes' walk from the train station. Recommended.

My Stay was very comfortable at Hostel. The staff was very co-operative and helping. Excellent facilities like left luggage and WIFI internet that too free of charge. Only feedback is that there is no lift and to take luggage upto 3 floors is really a hard job. Also, fellow passengers who are to stay in the same room must have been informed about arrival of other travellers who are expected to arrive in late night.

This a good hostel. Staff were very friendly and helpful and great location next to the river! Very clean also. Unfortunately the hostel was boring and not somewhere I would describe as social but for a nice city I think good value for money

The hostel offers a delicious breakfast which is included in the price. Don't expect free Wi-Fi in the whole hostel, it depends on where your room is.

Had a great stay! Location was amazing - within walking of everywhere we wanted to go. The facilities were clean and the breakfast was good. The best part, though, was Suzanne, who worked the desk on our last day and was super friendly and helpful. She gave us GREAT affordable restaurant recommendations (we had failed utterly on our own the day before). Also, it's really nice to buy some of the beers at the desk and picnic at the river. They're local brews and reasonably priced for Switzerland.

Good overall but at the bottom of a wicked hill you need to climb to get to the old town

The hostel is very clean, bed linen and breakfast are included! The position is very very good! you have to pay extra if you aren't a member of the hostel's chain, it's around 6 euros each person!

Building has good character and nice, big dining room, but missed very much the freedom & independence that goes with preparing your own meals (as we were not permitted to use the kitchen facilities). To be fair, there was a small fridge with labels for food storage, and a cafeteria which served meals often. Also there was an excellent "early breakfast" service for those who had to catch transport before the designated breakfast time (they packaged the breakfast items the night before)

We stayed at this hostel 2 years ago and since then it has really declined. The whole place feels tired and outdated. The bathroom facilities are not adequate - they have a very limited number of push button showers and there are no where near enough of them. The breakfast is pretty poor and minimal. Given this has been the most expensive hostel we have stayed at, we expected a lot more for our money. The staff were lovely and did their best but a renovation is desperately needed.
