It was disappointing that the internet didn't work in our room, and that there was a baby that liked to scream and cry a lot (I know, babies do that and some people probably like it), but we had a pretty good stay here. The kitchen was great, there's a relaxing garden in the backyard, and the staff was nice. The area isn't as nice as Miraflores, but it's safe and clean. The internet connection was reasonably good in the common area.

I had a nice stay at Malka. The location was very convenient, right by the Sur del Cruz bus station and most of the embassies, as well as nice restaurants and parks. The owner also very kindly let me check out late because I wasn't sure if I'd be staying an additional night. The only big drawback is that the price I paid for the room was more than was quoted on HostelWorld when I booked - I was told I would only pay $8 and I actually paid $11.

It was a really clean hostel. Breakfast included 2 fried eggs and juice and coffee. The rooms were big unlike some hostels were they cram tons of bunk beds to a room. The only thing I would say that was strange was that there was a girl and her child living there, but didn't necessarily work there. It's not a party hostel if thats what you're looking for with that kind of environment. The backyard is lovely though and its a super clean place to stay. i highly recommend it.
