Being able to use the kitchen would have made this place a lot better. It's a good area to stay as you're really in the red light district, which is a really odd place!! Staff were friendly and helpful and you can play backgammon in the bar when it rains, which is a lot. Definitely the best hostel we stayed in in Amsterdam, we had to stay in 5 different ones. The price is not ideal though.

Staff is super friendly and helpful! Location is just perfect. A bit untidy but I really enjoyed my stay here. Definitely would come back again.

No way u can charge your batterries in the rooms. There are lockers in the rooms. No atmosphere at all. Staff was nice. At the very center. So not the best but it was ok.

Breakfast was too expensive for just toast and boiled egg and very small coffee. Lockers were difficult since they were not really lockers, but an oil drum with a lock that was not free.

I was a little wary about staying at hostel meeting point as some of the reviews are a little mixed BUT I loved it! Yes there are no keys for the doors and no sockets in the room but I felt more than safe the whole time (night security is very tight and they have massive barrel lockers for a really good price). The hostel is in the heart of the city so obviously there are some noise issues at night from the street outside but it did not bother me at all. One of the best hostels I've stayed in!

Overall this hostel was good. It was in a really central location, close to the train station, Dam square and Red light District plus other main attractions were an easy walk. Despite first impressions (lots of graffiti) it was actually really clean and felt safe. Showers and toilets were not amazing, but did the job. Only real issue was that there are no power points or wifi in the rooms, however they will charge your electronics at reception and there is wifi in the bar/common area.

We stayed at the Meeting Point for 7 nights and it was brilliant. The staff were really friendly, the beds were comfortable and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Not to mention no curfew and the 24/7 bar with brilliant prices! ;)

All the way to the rooms smell weird, that is, all the stairs. Besides the bed didn't smell quite good

Nice people staying there but the hostel itself was awful.

Were delayed whilst travelling to Amsterdam (crossing the Channel Tunnel during the strike) and realised we would not arrive for our first night. Decided to call ahead and inform the Hostel of our situation. They said they understood and were waiting for us one day late. Arrived the next day to find our place cancelled, our deposit and first night payed for and the staff not caring that we had called ahead or had booked. Would not recommend to anyone simply because the staff could not care less.

Excellent location! And really friendly staff, and good atmosphere. Only downside is that there is no air conditioning so in summer if its hot is quite unbearable.

This hostel was in the perfect location! Right in the heart of the red light district, very easy to get to the nearby party attractions as well as near the tourist attractions, it was an easy walk everywhere we wanted to go. There was a bar on the bottom floor of the hostel which was convenient for anyone who wanted to stay in and drink there for a bit. Also, I loved that they had a smoke room which was very convenient. Overall, great place to stay, met some really cool people who were alsothere

Staff really made us feel welcome and were so friendly, immediately put us at ease. Nice roommates. Felt very comfortable as a large group of girls.

No kitchen, no elevators, paid lockers, no power sockets and Wi Fi in the rooms (just in bar area) and no key rooms (free access to all rooms)

Very nice location, only a few minutes way from central station. All the stuff I met were really friendly. But there is no plugs in the room, have to go to the 1st floor.
