Lack of kitchen. However, it is quite expensive, given the available facilities.

Although only stopping 1 night here, the stay at the Meeting point was reasonable. We had a very warm welcome and check in was prompt on our arrival. The rooms are very basic with no plug sockets in ours which was annoying although there was some in the bar downstairs. Basic lockers are provided in the room though which was good. The bathrooms and showers were very good. For the price, the location is fantastic and a short walk to the centraal station and many of the local attractions.

Being able to use the kitchen would have made this place a lot better. It's a good area to stay as you're really in the red light district, which is a really odd place!! Staff were friendly and helpful and you can play backgammon in the bar when it rains, which is a lot. Definitely the best hostel we stayed in in Amsterdam, we had to stay in 5 different ones. The price is not ideal though.

Staff is super friendly and helpful! Location is just perfect. A bit untidy but I really enjoyed my stay here. Definitely would come back again.

Very well located and the staff is very kind. Good prices for breakfast.

No way u can charge your batterries in the rooms. There are lockers in the rooms. No atmosphere at all. Staff was nice. At the very center. So not the best but it was ok.

Loved this hostel, i expected the worst (as it was the first hostel i had ever stayed in), and was pleasantly suprised! I would now happily recommend it to anyone and go back there myself!

Very nice hostel, good facilities and bar. Staff very helpful.

great dont listen to the bad reviews

Breakfast was too expensive for just toast and boiled egg and very small coffee. Lockers were difficult since they were not really lockers, but an oil drum with a lock that was not free.

Good hostel, absolutely perfect location, with friendly staff (Ferry was great), everywhere is within walking distance from everything including the train station and provides a great base for exploring Amsterdam. No chargers in the rooms which is a minor issue however other than that we had no problems with the hostel.

I was a little wary about staying at hostel meeting point as some of the reviews are a little mixed BUT I loved it! Yes there are no keys for the doors and no sockets in the room but I felt more than safe the whole time (night security is very tight and they have massive barrel lockers for a really good price). The hostel is in the heart of the city so obviously there are some noise issues at night from the street outside but it did not bother me at all. One of the best hostels I've stayed in!

Overall this hostel was good. It was in a really central location, close to the train station, Dam square and Red light District plus other main attractions were an easy walk. Despite first impressions (lots of graffiti) it was actually really clean and felt safe. Showers and toilets were not amazing, but did the job. Only real issue was that there are no power points or wifi in the rooms, however they will charge your electronics at reception and there is wifi in the bar/common area.

A lot of fun, little expensive, but that's amsterdam! Had great time meeting people from around he world!

We stayed at the Meeting Point for 7 nights and it was brilliant. The staff were really friendly, the beds were comfortable and the whole atmosphere was brilliant. Not to mention no curfew and the 24/7 bar with brilliant prices! ;)

All the way to the rooms smell weird, that is, all the stairs. Besides the bed didn't smell quite good

Nice people staying there but the hostel itself was awful.

Would go back in a heartbeat.

neat place, very friendly atmosphere

Were delayed whilst travelling to Amsterdam (crossing the Channel Tunnel during the strike) and realised we would not arrive for our first night. Decided to call ahead and inform the Hostel of our situation. They said they understood and were waiting for us one day late. Arrived the next day to find our place cancelled, our deposit and first night payed for and the staff not caring that we had called ahead or had booked. Would not recommend to anyone simply because the staff could not care less.
