the 16 bed room are dark and smell quite bad. The bathroom was always wet and not so clean. The hostel should have more toilets in each floor.

It is very good location and cheap, the people there at the reception is nice. However, it feels not safe, and it is very noisy place to stay, I guess it is hard to sleep. and you can easily smells the weed...

Great location in the heart of the city. Rooms were large although there are so many beds in one room there is always people coming and going throughout the night. Large lockers for security which is good as there is no key to get into your room its always unlocked. Staff were helpful. The bar was a good place to meet people and reasonably priced drinks with cheap munchie food. They also offer a simple cheap breakfast which is good if you're on a budget.

The toilet is dirty and there is not enough power point on the 1st level. There should be free lockers and wifi for the guests.

Fantastic location, helpful staff, and a bar downstairs. Its not a life of luxury but its a great way to live cheaply in the heart of the city and have a great time

The best thing about this place is its loction. Having a bed in the middle of the busiest street downtown, you are always close to "home" wherever you go and whatever you do. This is a great advantage. Still, it i not a noisy place and one can have a rest, especially during the day. Prices are reasonably low for this location. Staff and hygiene can be improved, but there is nothing to worry about. It's a youth hostel and it provides everything a traveler can expect from a youth hostel.

comfortable mattress..good location..no bedbugs..showers ok!that's what you want when you stay in a hostel! we were in 5 guys..asked during the booking and before to arrive to stay in the same room but we spent ours holidays in 2 separate rooms! the price is ok..but you have to pay for internet and breakfast and pool!no cover for pillow. if you like to smoke there is a small smoking room and after 1 a.m. you can smoke in the bar area. no key to enter in the bedrooms so everyone can enter!

good location. but only used a piece of paper to enter and once in had access to all rooms. there were lockers, but my bag was too big. good if you just need a bed to crash, computers were usually busy. showers were inconsistant on temperature. the staff were nice, but only after you made an attempt to talk to them. given the price, ya i would go back

The best aspect of this hostel is definitely the location - it's super central. Lack of wifi, pay-internet and no common room were the drawbacks, although the smoking room mostly made up for the latter. Beds are super-basic but get the job done. Everything's "clean enough" but not quite clean - for example, shower walls are mold-free, but not the ceiling. Overall, this hostel is best for people who care about location most, and don't need a lot of comforts.

No power outlets/sockets in the rooms, so charging your phone can only be done in the hallways or bar. Location is great, right near Centraal Station on the edge of the red light district. There's no real atmosphere to the place though.

this was one of the best hostels i've stayed in while i've been traveling. comfy beds, really big rooms. even the 18 bed dorm i still had plenty of room around my bed for my stuff. the lockers were nice and big too. its also really close to the train station and everything else. the staff were really helpful and friendly plus the bar is open 24/7.

Amazing location!! But for the quality of the hostel and facilities etc, the price we paid was extortionate. It was probably the worst hostel we stayed in, costing nearly double our most expensive one, but then again we didn't have a choice as this was the last hostel left in central Amsterdam with any beds! The staff were very helpful and accommodating and took pity on us and gave us the last 3 beds (even though we were a group of 4) and said we could share.. Although we all still had to pay...

Everything was good except the power went off one morning and the next morning there was no hot water. The stairways smelled bad but the location was great.

A good meeting place, true to its name. The atmosphere there was great, and the bar was open 24 hours which made it wonderfully alive at all times of the day. The dorms and bathrooms werent the cleanest, but good value for money all the same.
