Enjoy your stay at the Youth Hostel Melk that will provide for a unique multi cultural experience. People from all over the world come to one of Austria's most exciting areas, to explore the Benedictine Abbey Melk or the UNESCO World Heritage Wachau. Be the 'captain' of a ship, or simply a 'biker' on a bicycle, you can be assured that all roads lead to 'Wachau Wonderland'
The Youth Hostel Melk offers:
- 25 rooms (24 four bedded rooms and 1 eight bedded room)
- with bathroom (shower)
- bunk beds
- linen
- towels to hire
- toilets on the corridor
It is also possible to book a multi-bedded room only for 2 people or as a single room. There is a supplement of € 10,- per person (for a single room) and € 5,- per person (for a double room).
FACILITIES:
Lounge, TV and video-tape-recorder, garden, barbecue area, bicycle storage room.
LEISURE TIME:
Table tennis, climbing tower for children, Internet, tennis court and skater square, lido, sqash-center and bowling alley within spitting distance.
TRIPS:
Sightseiing at monastry Melk, 'Schallaburg' Renaissance Castle, the ruin of Aggstein and much more.
MEALS:
- large breakfast buffet
- half board and full board available

Easy to get to.My room hadnt been cleaned when i arrived at 2pm, but went out and came back and it had. The doors dont automatically lock and there are no lockers in the rooms. Breakfast was great for a free breaky. Had a bit of a lonely stay at this hostel, nowhere to really meet other travellers and there was no one else in my 4bed dorm but me for the two nights I stayed. More of a place to go if you're in a group. Might be a better idea to visit Melk on a day trip from Vienna if byyourself.
