The staff was very unfriendly. I asked for directions to the bus stop and the woman acted like she was going way out of her way just to stand up. "Prison-like" is a very good way to describe the harsh atmosphere. The place wasn't a hellhole, but there was nothing nice about it.The staff was very unfriendly. Average hostel, not bad for being the cheapest we could find in Milan (mind you it is not cheap relative to other cities). They had nice big lockers for each person and the rooms were clean and what not. Sadly most of it was under construction and they have these patronizing signs everywhere saying "change is good" which is not what I want to see after I run into burly Italian construction man in the women's bathroom. The Hostel has the atmosphere and vibe of a prison. Totally sucks. It was the second HI Hostel i stayed in and won't ever go into one of these again. But the stuff was good and also cleanliness, if you just want to stay for sleeping it's pretty good, but not for meeting people.The Hostel has the atmosphere and vibe of a prison. Totally sucks.
