The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms unfortunately were not clean when we arrived and were locked by the means of a very questionable and small padlock. We did not feel safe leaving anything valuable in the room while we were out. The shower was broken and the door had to be lifted in order to move it. The fan in our room was broken, and even with the window wide open there was little airflow and the room remained stuffy. Loud street noise and loud church bells at night too.
The location was nice because it was close to the supermarket, bus station and sea, although we were awakened every morning by a very loud church bell. It was a petty that the toilet was in the bathroom and that there was only one so that you had to wait quite a while sometimes. The kitchen was okay. In general the house and the room were quite small and it felt unpleasantly crowded. Also the front door was often unlocked and open. Hostel recommended for one or two nights.
Maja, the host, was the most welcoming and helpful person, always available to answer any questions, and on top she is super nice and friendly. The hostel is in an old authentic building, with a few DIY installations which gives it an unique and cosy atmosphere, feeling as if you live in Piran, it feels like a quirky home, very nice.
Very typicial old house poorly reconverted into hostel, it could be much more clean, but staff was extremely kind and helpful, the location excellent and the athmosfere outstanding.
Double bedroom was really small and cold. Bathroom was good. Not value for money.
