You can arrive to Veli Losinj from Mali Losinj only. Take 'hotels bus' to Veli Losinj which are running every 1 hour from the bus station. Once when you get to the very center of Veli Losinj which is actualy colourful little port, walk towards the church St.Anton ('pink' church on your right side), before entering the front of the church, take stairs on your right, follow the stairs (count 42), pass 'Mozart' and you will come in front of the hostels door.
