excellent hostel - a bit out of city but peace and quite after bustle of city.it is best to take the bus from station as a long walk and only 1.20 for 90 mins travel so possible to go to hostel and back to city on one tioket.the reception area is worth the visit alone and lovely vardana to sit out on.

I found it really far from de center of Firenze, besides in the description of the hostal they never specify that you had to walk thru a forest literally and the road to approach to the hostal was in bad condition as I had to walk with my carry- on all the way up to the hostal, and in the night there wasn´t enough light so it seems very dangerous.

Staff was really understanding when we booked an all female room and completely forgot about it, bringing our male friend. No extra charge. Gorgeous hostel, well worth the way out of Florence for the price and charm.

Set in a beautiful villa, be warned that the location is far, far from central Florence. I walked in about an hour; nothing better to do in the hostel. It's certainly peaceful, but there was only a pizzeria restaurant nearby, and no kitchen. The villa itself is great to wander around, lots of common areas, and the wi-fi is strong and free. Rooms were old but had lockers, showers were communal, and cleanliness was fine. I'd recommend if you really want to be away from it all.

The hostel is situated pretty far away from the center of Florence - about a 20 minute bus ride. This makes it difficult to get in and out of the city at whim. That being said, it's in a very nice locale that is calm and relaxing. My main problems arise from the staff, who were discourteous and condescending at points, and that there are many hidden charges with this hostel. If you don't have a hostel international card (no one does...) you have to pay an extra 3 euro/ night.

The outside of the hostel and the common rooms were really pretty but the rooms themselves were dirty and the bathrooms were disgusting. They also didn't have hot water so I had to take a cold shower in the morning. They lost my reservation but were really nice about it (I think she just pretended to find my name in their papers). It's also really far outside of the city center an buses don't come very often.

The extra fees that are thrown in were really not appreciated... It's not that it was very much, but I'm lucky I had the cash available, since I was not prepared to pay them.

This was by far the worst hostel I've stayed in. It is far from the centre and not easily accessed by bus -- and this is not reflected in the price. The staff were amiable, but clueless about Florence. The WiFi service was intermittent, and there was only one public computer, usually occupied by teenagers on facebook. The closest men's bathroom was a floor above me, and though there were 6 toilets, only 3 were in operation, and some of these became dirty throughout the day. Avoid if you can.

In my opinion the price was too high for an average hostel. The rooms were smal and the breakfast just ok.
