Each room has a kitchen attached which was great value for money as it was like an appartment. Bit of a walk into town but it was a nice walk. Good terrace but it was a shame you couldn't sit out after 10, when they try to make you get drunk and go to a club. You aren't really allowed to sit and relax on the terrace after this even in silence it seemed. But very friendly and great island to hang out on for a few days.

This is one of the nicest hostels i've ever stayed at. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the rooms clean, bright and spacious. We were often brought out free home made wine and chips in the evening. The balcony is a lovely place to sit out and relax and meet up with other guests and staff alike. I would 100% reccommend and stay here again.

Nice hostel with an extremely helpful staff. Marija picked us up from the dock, and gave us a ride upon departure too. Hostel is not exactly in the center, but only a 10 min walk away. Rooms are a bit small, but clean. I can recommend this hostel.

By far the best hostel In Croatia. The staff (Marija and Anita) were very helpful with everything and gave us free homemade wine and vodka each night. Amazing atmosphere with all of the other guests staying here too!

What a great hostel! Anita and Ivan were amazing; gave us great tips about Hvar, they even booked a boat for us which is a sick way to explore beautiful islands and have fun with the people we met in the hostel. They were full of information and ready to help! Ivan even provide us his iPad to use whenever we needed it :) The atmosphere at Villa Maria is always great; lots of people, events and activities and Chris will take to Kiva bar every night around 22:30. .Thanks for free BBQ, guys!

Great hostel in a beautiful location. Staff were very friendly and helpful giving us lots of tips of what to do. They even took us out in the evening to show us where the fun bars were! Be careful coming back as you have to be very quiet and we got told off for making a bit of noise as we were returning home after some drinks ;-)

Family run hostel with very kind staff. They go out of their way to set up pre-drinks at the hostel and then take you to the main bars at night. Our 3 bedroom apartment had its own kitchenette and private bathroom. 10 minute walk from main town and the beach. We had a fantastic time in Hvar thanks to Villa Marija!

This place is awesome, walking distance to everything (although quite hard to find when hammered), beautiful views, the staff were friendly and excellent and even gave us a lift from the ferry. Couldn't recommend this place any higher, it's amazing value for money and the rooms were great. The private twin by the way, is one of the best I've stayed in anywhere in the world for a hostel.

the hostel was great, the staff were the best staff in a long line of hostels, the island of Hvar is amazing. The Youth Hostel Villa Marija was clean and and ran with an great personality and hosting that puts it above the others. Great place to stay, and enjoy the beautiful beaches, and warm city life, and historical adventure one would want to have on a great vacation.

This hostel was awesome! We booked 2 nights and stayed 5. Maria and Ivan were amazing and helpful hosts, the room was clean and came with an ensuite and kitchenette. The terrace was always a great place to chill out or socialise. Nightly drinks bring everyone together and then they take you down to town to experience the bars/nightlife. There was also a free BBQ one night with so much food!!! The location is perfect!

Lovely hostel up on a hill. Extremely accommodating staff, when we were there there was a very decent free BBQ dinner as well as a homemade wine night. Great way to meet all the other guests. Rooms were large and clean, close to beach, and there was a nice view!

Marija was very accommodating and knowledgable of bus times, ferry times and the best way to get around the island. The room was very clean and hygienic. We spent five days at Youth Hostel Villa Marija, don't regret it one bit. Every night everyone from the hostel gathers on the big terrasse and you're able to socialize. It's a 10 minute walk from downtown and from the beach. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend that hostel.
