Staff was helpful in finding out about excursions in the area. The hostel is very dead during non peak season, so as a solo traveller it was pretty boring around the hostel. I have heard that it is a lot more fun during the peak season. Location is a bit of a bus ride away from the town, but I enjoyed walking there(takes a while) and the beaches at the location are great. Try to get a room in the main building, much nicer than the ones behind.

This hostel is huge! Our room smelled pretty bad but otherwise was clean. It's about a 45 minute walk to old town or you can take the bus for 8 kuna (one way) They serve bfast for free but it's simple bread with spreads and a coffee machine. I think it would be more fun when it's busier and the weather nicer. They have a nice outdoor area with a bar. Biggest draw was the beach just a few minutes walk away.

Great rooms. Location not great as too far to walk to town and nowhere nearby to eat

Owner Comment (Show)
Dear, Thank you for your comment. Indeed, our location is not in city center, which has its good side: a nearby beach, nice and relaxing neighborhood and a bus stop to city center 200 meters away. As for places to eat, there is a number of restaurants, fast foods and markets in this area, where we will point you to next time you come here. Thank you fo staying with us. YH Zadar staff

Huge hostel with lovely big common area and bar with outdoor seating. Dorms were somewhat shabbier than the reception are and outer buildings would lead you to believe (these bits were very posh!) but still perfectly servicable. Having only one key per room and having to take it to and from reception is a bit of a nuscence if youre not travelling in a group, but other than that, no complaints. Helpful staff and free safe behind reception for your valuables.

Very cheap, right on the water, but unless you have a car or some kind of transportation plan it's far from the Old Town and other things to do besides swimming- although there are nice beaches right next to the hostel. Badly designed showers, no real common area, but worth your while if you're not planning on spending a lot of time there anyways.

A great place for the backpacker. Easy to find, clean. Breakfast is good and include in the price. The seaside is at... 3 meters from the hostel !!! A supermarket and a bus stop a very close to the hostel. I highly recommand the place ! Perfect for everyone (even with kids) If you are looking for fun and music all nite long... Pass your road !

Staff were awesome! Definitely answered all our annoying questions. Would have had some type of air con in the rooms though as it was roasting when we stayed there (mid-August). Bedroom and bathroom were both clean and in good condition and it felt safe. Nice seating area outside too where you can grab a drink and meet other travellers. Only downside was location - arriving around 9pm in Zadar and WALKING to the hostel not advised - took up to an hour from the bus stop.

I thought that the hostel was superb for groups of travelers but not for the individual. There were no activities organised or communicated and i ended up spending my time in the city centre. The beach was close by and i can see the advantages of this but the security wasn't great with only one key for the room often shared between strangers.

Nicely renovated hostel right on the waterfront. The bar area outside was great. Breakfast was so-so...only bread and jam. Rooms were a little cramped but loved the private shower (only in some rooms with slightly more cost). Too bad most accommodation in Zadar is a little far from the city centre but buses are frequent. Staff was very friendly. No security lockers but you can leave things at the front desk.

Great design. Very nice staff. Loved the bar area and being near the water. Suggestions: my room was a bit cramped but loved the private shard bathroom option. Screens on windows would be good to keep out Mosquitos. Breakfast could be more than just bread and jam.

hostel is located quite far from city center but next to marina, have a very nice outside garden where you can have a drink and listen to a party music. Rooms were clean with a good size. Cover provided was a bit to small. Reception and a bar steff were pleasent and helpful.
