Nice place. Recently refurbished. Couldn\'t really get on with the bare concrete walls. Breakfast really good. Unfortunately the issues with the Swiss Franc makes this place really expensive. Unfortunately there were a couple o members of staff who really I mean really lacked basic customer service skills to the point they were rude and arrogant thinking they could speak under their breath. :(.

The big hostel is not equipped with a kitchen. Breakfast is good. But I was asked to register a one-day membership and to pay a fee on top of the rate, to which I had not been given a clue by the hostel or the website until check-in. Few people staying there. The shower was not so convenient as it stopped every 20 seconds for water saving.

The staff and breakfats were the best point in the hostel...clean and security are good as well...location is nice nearby...there is a mobility card to use all the transport in Basel for free...excellent. Surprise!! An adittional tax of $6,00/day for those who are not "members"...what turns the prices of staying in the site not real.
