A little far away from the downtown area, but easy to get to via bus and awesome that they give free metro pass when you stay there. Rooms are typical hostel rooms, but a bit roomier than some, which is great!

Nice quality with all clean facilities and delicious breakfasts. Location is not very convenient, however, you will be provided a free transportation card for all public transport in Lausanne. Note: the tax for each person per night is 2CHF. And if you don't have a member card, an addition 6CHF will be charged more per night.

the hostel is good but lacking of self catering stuff, which i believe is essential for youth hostel.

Relly enjoyed this hostel. The receptionist spoke wonderful English, which was refreshing because my French is limited, and she was quite helpful. The room was clean and warm and great for our small group. We loved the park nearby and the easy access to public transportation with the free pass provided. Only negatives were that the bathroom smelled like pee, and that a loud group of young students were staying there and were placed next door to us. The provided breakfast was also great.

We really appreciated how clean and spacious the rooms were, as well as the generous buffet breakfast.

It was fine, pretty unremarkable. Large common room has potential for a good time. About a half hour trip into the city with bus and metro... bit of a drag.

Liked the minimalist architecture, clean lines, good colours, good materials, functional. Everything worked well. The shower was simple and hot. The room was painted simply and well. The lighting was good. The beds were comfortable and the linen crisp and clean. Breakfast was wonderfu - healthy and plenty of it. Dinner was good too, simple but healthy. We stayed in expensive Swiss hotels for the remainder of our visit around the country but we liked the Lausanne youth hostel best.

The price is rather expensive but location is quite far from the town centre. Cupboards, unlockable, are not enough to all visitors in the room.
