This place is way overpriced. I understand the it is normal for places in Switzerland to cost more but this was ridiculous. The rooms should be nicer for that price. The sheet is the most uncomfortable sheet that has ever existed and the walls and floor are all made of cement and are not very comfortable either. The bathroom had a rusty smell. The room where you can sit and use the wifi is right by the door so it was cold and the chairs were also not comfortable. This is not the solo-traveler

I thought the extra fees for non HI members and the hotel tax is silly, because tenants there generally do not live in Lausanne, and they are already paying taxes for things that will not bother with reclaiming during tax season. Very big rip off. Very disappointing.

The location is pretty far from the train station. Not easy to reach. So it's not a good place for short stay. But, it's very close to the lake. Very nice place for leisure, for walking. I love the lake.

No hot let alone warm water to shower in. The bathroom window was open during the evening and its -20 outside!!! It was a gong show to get checked in too.
