A bit far from the train station, but many things to do in its surroundings.
It's reasonably priced for staying in the heart of zermatt. And we had an awesome view of the Matterhorn. The staff are quite friendly and the food (free breakie and reasonably priced dinner) are an awesome bonus! It lacks atmosphere I think because it attracks a lot of people who are just desperately seeking reasonably priced accommodation in Zermatt. This includes families, elderly couples etc. so it loses a bit of that young energy and hostel vibe that you usually expect.
This is not what I was looking for in a hostel at all. The atmosphere was non existent (the majority of guests are significantly older or families). In terms of price it was crazy, I understand Switzerland is expensive but a 10 bed dorm should never cost that much. What irritated me most though was that guests weren't allowed to use the kitchen, so you either have to pay even more for their provided dinner (expensive), eat out (expensive) or use the ONE microwave for the entire hostel to use.
Our stay in this hostel over Christmas was better than we had expected. Getting a free breakfast buffet every morning is a big deal when you're doing it cheap across Europe. Only thing is no wifi in rooms.. But other than that great place!
had A LOT of fun visiting te Matterhorn! the staff was more than willing to help you and sit and talk about what good activities zermatt has to offer. felt very inclusive. free breakfast offered a large variety of food and was actually quite tastey! thanks youth hostel, I still have some pocket change to spare! ps. the hostel dinner is cheaper than the entire town!! invest ☺️

The facilities are all nice and clean... the dorms are interesting as the mattresses are basically side by side with no partition. Normally I would pay 10 euros for something like this, not over 30. I know Switzerland is expensive but that's pushing it. Long walk to the slopes. Not much of a social scene - probably better if you go on a trip with some friends and stay in a private. Friendly staff! Bring food if you are on a budget, you won't be able to pack lunch sandwiches from breakfast.
facilities are excellent, the free bearkfast is great...but one disadvantage is the location, it is a little far away from the Zermatt railway station, and I need to climb the steps with my heavy luggage
在hostel 品質及管理上非常好, 乾淨整齊,空間及景觀都很好. 唯一是我拖著非常重及大的行李沒有電梯或坡道可及,,以至拖行李爬上2樓卻扭傷了手腕ㄌ >"
Staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a little further out from the main town area but only a short walk (and if you're in Zermatt you should really be expecting to walk a little). Bed in the dorm was very comfortable (one of the better nights sleep I have had in a hostel) and lockers secure. Only real downside to this hostel is that there is no real atmosphere, which is fine if you are there with friends/family but for single travellers it makes it hard to interact. Still, great place!
