It's 20min by BUS from Chichen Itza. The staff was really helpful, though he did'nt speak english. The pool on the property was very dirty, but the restroom was okey considering it had no roof. Very little opportunity to recharge camera etc. No internet. No food at the hostel and we just found ONE restaurant, but it closed at 6pm. Small shops nearby.

the location is not so good but daniel (the manager) is definitely helpful though he does not understand english... you can find some small hotels near chichen itza or catch a bus to merida or cancun easily... the village is so remote that no restaurant can be found after 5. but the camping experience is fantastic and i think it was worthwhile.

The ambiance is excellent. However, the staff claimed that they had received a reservation for 4 under my name, even though I had reserved it only for myself. At that stage it was impossible to get another room within the retreat so I had to pay for 4. Unfortunate practices of this type may hurt Mexico as a prime tourist destination and can cause major hassles.

Had a really lovely nights stay here, but it wasn't what I expected. The camp site is about 20 mins from Chcichen Itza ruins and there is very little around, which does really adds to the atmosphere. In all the place is not as fancy as the description makes it sounds, but it is nice.
